Hi,
What are the exact dimensions for images that you have on the slider?
@Nathan_Thomas1: I don’t understand what you cannot edit. Is it just a featured post slider or anything in the Theme Options panel.
In summary…
a. get rid of glitch stray word ‘menu’ at bottom of side bar widget menu
b. get rid of glitch white block and indent behind featured post slider title on homepage (the title indent also looks odd on mobile device)
c. cannot have theme name in footer (that’s basically why I upgraded to Pro)
Hum you can use Custom Menu and build your menu. For that you have to go to “Appearance => Menus”. For more about custom menu see this http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/
@pensfanatics: Yes the text in the slider will be the “Title of the post” and “Excerpt Content of the Post”
But if you have problem with this then you can use “Featured Image Slider instead of featured Post slider. When you use Featured Image Slider, you can add your own image, title and description all optional as per your need.
I have a question about inserting images into the Featured Slider Excerpt. These are small icons I have created that I want to add to the slider images like so… http://www.newdchurchorlando.org.php53-8.dfw1-1.websitetestlink.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/greatday_example.jpg
The image is my end goal. Could you let me know how to make the code allow the images to appear in the excerpt.
Greetings,
I too am new to WordPress. I love the Catch Everest theme. I installed it and activated it but I don’t know how to change the stock images (Nepal prayer wheels, and Mt. Everest) to my own pictures. What am I doing wrong? ANy help is greatly appreciated!!

Hi again, am now on Everest Pro.
The featured post slider on my homepage, in Pro the post titles now appear to have a secondary white box inset within the main text box – it wasn’t there in Everest and I really don’t like it – as a designer it isn’t right at all. How can I get the featured post slider titles back to the way it looked in ordinary Everest?
Widget side custom menu is putting the word ‘Menu’ at the bottom of the list – it shouldn’t be there – help!
If you need to have look…

Hi Sakin,
Just figured it out! Didn’t realize that you had a “hover” on the site name.
That would explain it. So, I changed the “hover menu” colour and it worked!
The way you structured the colour options screen is not intuitive. Site name is not a menu. And, what active means, well that’s anyone’s guess. To save time and aggravation, t would be more helpful if the site title could have its own field.
Oh yes, in the Slider drop down menu its “Featured” not “Featued”. Sorry, the editor in me couldn’t resist!
All is well, home page looks great. Now onto the side bar!
Thanks for your help. Karin
I know there are more customizations in paid version.
In the meantime, hoping for a CSS hack or to point me where in the theme editor to remove the Thumbnail from showing with the actual post listings. I am using the “featured image” primarily for the Slider and it does not look good when shown next to the post in my case.

Thanks for the help with this.
I can’t seem to activate the main menu that sits on the featured post slider. How do I set that up to get my main categories and pages up there?
Using Simple Catch version 2.3.4
I know this is a stupid question, sorry. 🙂
I added it in appearance>theme options>featured slider. I followed these instructions you gave me “To have Featured Image without any link then user Featured Image Slider. Which you can do it from “Appearenance => Theme Options => Featured Slider => Slider Options”. Then select “Image Slider” and add the image you want without a link.”
Should I use that for my home page image? Or do something else instead?
@kalalilys: Then remove the Featured Image from the post.
I was trying to do the exact same things but it didn’t work. I was able to reduce the space between the footer widgets and the featured post slider, but not much. I am not using the headline or featured content option so would like to reduce that space between the slider and the footer widgets.
Also, when I used the code to try to hide the footer widget from all pages but the homepage, it ended up being hidden from all pages but the blog page.

Is there any way to edit the text in the featured slider or does it just call raw data? For instance if you go to http://pensfanatics.com/ and check out my slider, the text is the same format as the excerpt. Any way to change that?
Hi,
I’m having a couple of problems with the featured slider images please see http://www.volitionremovalslondon.com . Currently I have set up three featured images on posts. When I am on the homepage on the live site if I click on the slider image I go to a page that says “oops that page can’t be found” and if I click on the post title within the slider it takes me to the post.
Ideally I would like the featured image to be driven from my main content pages and then if one were to click on the image or the title in the slider it would take them to the appropriate page. That said the image doesn’t appear to link to properly to the post.
The second option I can see is to make the slider image and the title text non clickable.
Please can someone help with a solution to either?
@Potzas: I think you are talking about the menu active color. You can change he active background color and text color by changing the color code and add the following CSS in “Appearance => Theme Options => Custom CSS” box.
#header-menu .menu .current-menu-item > a, #header-menu .menu .current-menu-ancestor > a, #header-menu .menu .current_page_item > a, #header-menu .menu .current_page_ancestor > a, #colophon .menu .current-menu-item a { background-color: #000; color: #fff; }
To have Featured Image without any link then user Featured Image Slider. Which you can do it from “Appearenance => Theme Options => Featured Slider => Slider Options”. Then select “Image Slider” and add the image you want without a link.
@specialkyo: If you are using Catch Everest Pro theme then you can use Featured Image Slier which you can select from “Appearance => Theme Options => Featured Slider”. Then Select slider type.
In Featured Image Slider, you can just upload the image and no need to add any links.
See theme instruction for more details http://catchthemes.com/theme-instructions/catch-everest/
At the moment I don’t have a static page set to ‘home’. It’s not giving me the option in the dropdown. I can create a ‘home’ page and set it to static, but then I lose the featured content slider headings?
Hi there, when viewing the page ‘Home’ it’s already showing as the ‘hover colour’. It remains grey while the rest of the titles on the menu change to grey as you hover. I would like them all to be white, unless you hover over them.
Also, I have used a featured image on my home page, rather than the slider. I want that image to be static and not link (or fade) when you click or hover on it.
If you need to see my site I have it ‘under construction’, so will remove that feature if you need to view it to answer the above.
Thanks
