As the title says we have a problem with the excerpt text shown for posts placed in a Gutenberg grid with the Adventurous theme.

The problem is that the text is “all run together”. The initial text of the posts is a few short lines – with line feeds between them. The text then shown in the excerpts removes the line feeds and does not even put a space character in so the text becomes confusing and meaningless.

It is not clear whether this stripping of line feeds is done by this theme or by the underlying Gutenberg grid itself.

Yes, this is likely caused by WordPress/Gutenberg’s automatic excerpt processing, which strips line breaks from the original post content.

For now, you can try the following CSS to move the ‘Continue Reading’ link to a new line.

Please add the following CSS under Dashboard > Appearance > Customizer > Additional CSS:

.wp-block-latest-posts__list .wp-block-latest-posts__post-excerpt .more-link {
   display: block;
   margin-top: 10px;
}

Thank you for the suggestion but that has not worked. I now realise I was using a grad plugin so have referred to the author.
