Hello,

I purchased the Fotografie Pro theme on 24 March 2025. My WordPress dashboard now says:

“Theme License: License key expired 24.03.2026. Renew?”

When I bought the theme, I understood that it was a permanent license, not a one-year subscription. I cannot find any information on my invoice or other documents stating that annual renewal is required.

Could you please explain why the license expired?
I cant update my theme to latest version because of this problem.

Yes, the Fotografie Pro license includes one year of updates from the date of purchase. Since your theme was purchased on 24 March 2025, the license expired on 24 March 2026, which is why you are now seeing the renewal notice in your WordPress dashboard.

To update your theme to the latest version and continue receiving updates, you will need to renew the license.

It would be helpful if the theme provider could clarify the license terms here. If the original purchase was advertised as a permanent license, the customer should be able to verify exactly what that license includes and whether annual renewal is required only for updates/support or for continued use of the theme itself.

Since the expired license is also preventing the latest version from being installed, I’d recommend checking the original purchase confirmation and invoice and contacting support with the order details. Hopefully they can confirm the licensing policy and restore update access if the license was indeed sold as lifetime.
