You can add the following CSS in “Appearance => Theme Options => Custom CSS” box to reduce spaces in Text Box in Slider.

#main-slider .entry-header { margin-bottom: 0; }
#main-slider .entry-content { padding-top: 0; }
#main-slider .entry-title { line-height:1.3; }

I guess you are using Featured Image Slider, where you can add content as per your need in Content Box. So, edit text in that box.

I have a single featured slider image with text.

Is there a limit to the Featured Slider “Content” text that can be displayed?
i.e. “Simple. Powerful. Revolutionary…” <= this string seems to resize the underlying box … and make it overlap.

You can see the white background layer under the Content text (of the Featured Slider) overlapping the black area of the menu.

Is my only option to cut the text string down?

My Catch Everest Pro version is 2.1

@Dawn: Sorry if you use Page Slider or Post Slider or Category Slider, it uses default featured image size of Width: 976px and Height: 313px. All the image above this size will be cropped exactly in this size.

Why don’t you use Featured Image Slider, where you can add in your Image URL of any size you want.

@AKMARK5000: In Catch Evolutions Pro theme. Just go to “Appearance => Theme Options => Featured Slider => Slider Options”. Then you will see “Number of Slides” option where you can increase the number.

Hi,

I’ve recently updated the theme to the latest version and a white space has appeared to the featured post slider. I also get a transparent space after the subpages (e.g. subpages of ‘Courses’ and ‘Industry’). Furthermore, after the update, the search bar appears to be distorted.

It appears following the recent update my site has shifted slightly to the right.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Jason,

Are you using Catch Box Free Theme. I assumed that as you have post in Catch Box Free Support Forum. You can just remove the Post IDs in “Appearance => Theme Options => Featured Post Slider => Slider Options” and then it will not show the post in your slider.

Can you post in your site URL, it’s confusing. What do you mean by the page title above the menu. As above the menu, you only have Site Title. If you are trying to remove the site title then you can go to “Appearance => Header” and in Header Text uncheck “Show header text with your image” then save changes.

I’d like to remove the Featured Post Slider at the top of the home page. I’d like to also move the page title above the navigation menu. I’m using a child theme for the site. I tried removing “slider” entries in the main theme’s style.css, which had no effect. Any thoughts?

I upgraded to CK Pro specifically for more color and format options. I’ve made great progress but there are still a few places where I can’t change the colors. I’ve been through every menu option I found. As far as I can tell there are no blue or white settings still listed anywhere. I’m obviously missing something because the page clearly still includes blue and white:

* In the text box that displays on top of the slider image (the text itself is from the Posts where the Slider images are)
* At the bottom where the Copyright text is
* The thin lines separating the footer areas

I also can’t find where to change the remaining white text — I believe it’s in a footer area (directly beneath the featured images)

An additional issue is the size of the header — there’s a huge amount of white space and it pushes my images and contact button off the bottom, requiring scrolling to see them.

@jesslnance: Catch Everest free theme is also same. It only have Featured Post Slider to highlight you post.
1. Fist you need to create post through “Posts => Add New” and then add “Featured Image” in your post. See this screenshot http://www.pinterest.com/pin/548594798331806476/ showing how to add Featured image.
2. You can find the Post ID from “All Posts” section.
3. Then go to “Appearance => Theme Options => Feature Post Slider => Feature Post Slider” options and add in the post ID, which you want to show as slider. See this screenshot http://www.pinterest.com/pin/548594798329984427/ and save changes.

This will replace your demo slider. For more information check out Theme instructions page at http://catchthemes.com/theme-instructions/catch-everest/ and read “How to add Featured Image in Post/Page?” and “How to Add Featured Post Slider?”.

Can you only change the featured slider picture with the Pro upgrade? Or should I be able to do this with the regular Catch Everest template? I’ve tried following the instructions posted online without any luck, so wanted to check what I’m doing wrong. Thanks!

Just upgraded to Pro version of Kathmandu because I needed the Featured Slider Images function. Unfortunately, I am unable to upload any of the images from my Media Library. After selecting an image and then clicking “Insert to Post”, the field stays blank. Entering an URL address doesn’t work either.

However, I am able to select a same image for Featured Post/Page from my media library.

Is this a known bug?

@absolutespace: Yes, Catch Kathmandu Free theme only have option to use “Featured Post Slider or Featured Category Slider” which is create to highlight your post and it takes post title, excerpt content and featured image from post and link to post.

But if you want independent image slider without the link then you need to use Featured Image Slider which is only available in Catch Kathmandu Pro theme. Read the theme instructions page to find out additional featured in http://catchthemes.com/theme-instructions/catch-kathmandu-pro/ and check in “Featured Slider” and “How to add Featured Image in Post/Page?”.

Gooday Sakin. My name is Melissa, I have just set up my WordPress website today using the Everest theme and am having quite a bit of a hard time. (Apologies if you have already answered this question) I have managed to edit the featured slider with the pics i want in there, the first pic shows and then the whole slider just dissapears to the top, I thought it might be the size of the pictures, which I have gone and resized, but am still having a problem, your advice would be greatly appreciated.

I am having troubling duplicating the demo preview, where you would not be redirected to a featured post slider page with a mouse click from the home page.

I am using the free Kathmandu Catch and wonder if I need to upgrade to PRO to do this.

Please help.
