Thank you ever so much. I looked and saw that this theme is so well-designed that you have a spot for “Custom CSS” in the Theme Options; so that it is not necessary to make a CSS change in a Child Theme.
I made the change there in Theme Option. I am so happy with how that looks.
Yes, in the first theme I was using, standard Twenty Fourteen, it allowed pics as a featured image above both post and page title. But, I like this theme very well and will either learn to live with this limitation… or later find a way to override that if there is not a way available right now to alter that in CSS. (???) (One one page, I really did like the image appearing there large above the title.)
Well, I really like how this theme is working thus far in layout and appearance in every other way.
Thank you!

May 11, 2014 at 5:08 am #29992laura.leeMemberHi… I am having a slight problem. When the front page loads now… the text from the feature post slips up above into the menu bar and site title and tag.. for a second or so… then goes back to it’s proper position. So, when the page loads, it first appears that way, then takes a second to appear in the right position.
I have managed hosting to try to help with page speed. It’s not super fast, really, on page speed tests. But, I’ve done nearly all I can for page speed with my present hosting.
Is there something with the CSS script that can make that not happen with the change I added to slide the image all the way to the right? (It only started doing that after I slid the image all the way to the right — which I really like and want it that way.)
**I’ve removed the .featured-slider .slides img { float: right; } script for now, so that this doesn’t occur when someone lands on the page… but would like to restore it if there is a fix.
Appreciate any help.
Thanks!

My name is Melissa, I have just set up my WordPress website today using the Everest theme and am having quite a bit of a hard time. (Apologies if you have already answered this question) I have managed to edit the featured slider with the pics i want in there, the first pic shows and then the whole slider just dissapears to the top, I thought it might be the size of the pictures, which I have gone and resized, but am still having a problem, your advice would be greatly appreciated.

For Featured Post slider, you can also check out theme instructions page at http://catchthemes.com/theme-instructions/catch-everest/ and read the topic “How to add Featured Image in Post/Page?”, “Image Sizes” and “How to Add Featured Post Slider?”.
If you still have issue, then explain in reference with your site URL.
