Even I can’t seem to figure out why it is showing the error on the test. The test doesn’t show any error when I check for demo of the theme. @deidoucommunications: To display social menu
Go to => Appearance => Customize => Menus => View All Locations => There are 3 locations where you can display your Social Icons (Header Social Menu, Social Menu Above Footer and Footer Social Menu). You can create a menu with Custom Links of your social medias and assign it to the Social Menu Location.

I wanted to inform you that there is a Footer Editor Option in the pro version of the theme with which you can easily edit the footer text from the customizer without the hassle of having to edit the code and use a child theme. You can check out the additional-features available in the theme.
