To do that replace the above code with the following.
Go to => Appearance => Customize => Additional CSS and add the following CSS Code.

.single-post .entry-meta .author.vcard, .single-post .entry-meta .cat-links {
    display: none;
}

This should remove the author and the category links but I don’t see the date showing up for the post. Are you aware of that?

Replace the above code by the following.
Go to => Appearance => Customize => Additional CSS and add the following CSS Code.

@media screen and (min-width: 1024px) {	
	#header-content,#header-navigation-area {
	     display: inline-block;
	}
}

The menu will overflow to the next line as the screen size decreases as you have a lot of menu items that would not fit beside the logo.

Let me know if the menu looks better now.

To add some buttons/declaraions such as a badge forAvvo, Yelp top 10, Google 5 star rated, and more type of icons you can use the Logo Slider Section

Go to => Appearance => Customize => Theme Options => Logo Slider => Logo Slider Type => Select Custom and Upload Icons and Logos.

None of the content actually appears on the site
Go to => Appearance => Customize => Theme Options => Homepage / Frontpage Options => Uncheck the option Check to disable Homepage/Frontpage Content
