Consciousness, you’re asking questions I have been wondering. At first I didn’t use Featured Image — it just seemed like extra stuff I didn’t need, like u said. But when I set up my blog to just show excerpts, only text showed, no pics, and the page looked kind of dead. When I added the Featured Image, it shows above the excerpt and makes the page more interesting-looking.

I am using the Font plugin on my site, , and the fonts stay put when the theme is updated. I used it for the main heading and the Subscribe box; I haven’t tried it within the blog posts, so I don’t know how easy it would be to set a specific font throughout your site with it.

I added back the archives so you can easily retrieve both posts. In the archives they show up in the correct order (last one on top), but on my Home page only the first post shows.

I have only one blog post published, but I’d like it to show up in the Archives widget as (date or month/year) (blog title). Right now it just says (month/year).

I copied the above into the Custom CSS box, but nothing changed. But rather than having you spend so much time on this, I hired an occasional VA thru freelancer.com who I’m going to sic on this.

The header I uploaded is the widest image I have. What do I do now — is this where I get a customization quote? A webmaster?

That’s the highest setting that is allowed when uploading a header image, 990 x 180.
