I have a huge problem. I just recently purchased Catch Box Pro. I did not add CSS (because I don’t code), but I did add a background image, custom colors, modified the fonts, widgets, etc.
Now I get these notifications on my WP-admin dashboard:
The following themes have new versions available. Check the ones you want to update and then click “Update Themes”.
Please Note: Any customizations you have made to theme files will be lost. Please consider using child themes for modifications.
I have no idea how to create a child theme. And since I have a Professional account managed by WP Automottic, I don’t think I actually have access to my files anyway.
I don’t want to lose all the changes I have made. What are my options now?
This is the site I need help with.

@debgoonan513:This type of notification should not be shown in WP-admin dashboard can you please deactivate all the plugin and check it again,Please follow this instruction. If you need extra customization then only you need to create child theme otherwise you can simply use Additional CSS section to add the extra CSS code. Please don’t modify any parent theme files. Let me know if notification still appears.

I do not understand.
I did not add any CSS. I do not know how to add CSS code.
I used the regular “customization” that comes with the parent theme. (fonts, colors, background images, slider, etc.) I want to know, if I update the theme, will I lose all of these changes?January 23, 2019 at 1:02 am #164224
@debgoonan513: I checked your theme version your theme is up-to-date so you don’t need to update the theme. In future if you want to update the theme, you can go for it, you will not loose any customization. Is notification problem is solved? It’s ok if you haven’t add any code, sometime it may occur due to plugin conflict.

@sapana: Following your instructions – I deactivated all the plug-ins except the Classic Editor. I still see the notifications as in the Original Post Question.
If I switch to another theme, what happens to my CatchBox Pro and all the customization?
Do I switch back to CatchBox Pro before activating all the plugins again?January 23, 2019 at 10:31 pm #164285
@debgoonan513: If you are comfortable can provide me your site admin access, I will shortly contact you by email.

@sapana — turning off all plugins and turning back on made no difference, I still see the update theme notifications for both Catchbox and Catchbox Pro.
The Catchbox (regular version) updated as expected.
But when I tried updating the Catchbox Pro theme, I got this error message.
“An error occurred while updating Catch Box Pro: Update package not available.”January 29, 2019 at 10:58 pm #164701
