@michelle2317: You site is not opening http://sweethomenaturals.com/blog/ . I think you are missing some steps. See I am trying to make it simple.
All our Free themes only have Featured Post Slider. But if you upgrade to Pro or Premium themes then you will have Featured Image slider and so on. Featured Post Slider is created to highlight your posts in the slider. To add the feature post slider, just follow the steps as below:
1. First create the Post and don’t forget to add in the Featured Image in the post as this image is used in the slider. To add featured image see this http://en.support.wordpress.com/featured-images/#setting-a-featured-image
2. Then get the ID of the post. When you edit your post or write a post, you will see the id in your browser address bar. Also you will be able to see post id in All Posts section. But if you cannot find it then you can use this plugin to view it http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/catch-ids/
3. Then go to “Appearance => Theme Options => Featured Post Slider” and add in the post id that you want to highlight
I have a few quick questions and I’ve been searching online for answers.
1. One of my featured slider pics won’t stay the size I specified. The first picture is perfect. The second one isn’t. Please help?
2. Can I add a slideshow of pictures in my gallery page? Otherwise if I can’t, how can I put several pictures on the page without it looking organized. Would like it in Rows if can’t add a slideshow.
3. How can I get the text codes near the footer to go away?

@gaetano_torrisi: Catch Everest Free Theme only have Feature Post Slider, which is created to highlight you post. So, you cannot remove the link.
But you can upgrade to Catch Everest Pro theme and then user Featured Image Slider, where you can just upload the image and don’t add the link. See this for more details about Catch Everest Pro theme http://catchthemes.com/theme-instructions/catch-everest-pro/
@sanmacal: If you are using Catch Everest pro then you can change it through “Appearance => Theme Options => Feature Slider”. Where you can select the slider you want from the option of Featured Post Slider, Featured Page Slider, Featured Category Slider, and Featured Image Slider.
If you just was a simple and easy solution then you can use Featured Image Slider and just upload the image, title, content and link as per your need.
See the theme instruction for more details. http://catchthemes.com/theme-instructions/catch-everest-pro/
@nenepretty85: Have you customize the theme. How come you added the Featured Image with same link in all 4 slides. That is supposed to be featured post slider and link to respective posts.
I did it many times and I tried from other computers, but nothing. Could be the IP? I don’t really know.

@dre2010: To move the logo by 30px up. Just add the following CSS in Theme Options panel.
#site-logo { padding-top: 20px; }
To make featured slider on the home page not a link. You have to use Featured Image Slider which is only there is Catch Everest Pro theme. When you can upload the image, title, content and links all optional. You can just add image or any combination.
Why you need to make .sb-holder, position absolute?
hey thanks for the help. i was away on holiday..i sorted it out back to where i want it. i still have a few bugs to weed out.
how can i make the featured slider on the home page not a <a href> ‘link’.?
and also on the style.css if i change the .sb-holder {
position: relative; }
to absolute the menu will overlay the footer and it then shows the entire menu better. although the body of the page is then underneath the menu. how can i fix this so the drop down menu shows everything but wont be layered over the body content.
thanks in advance
@anapper: Catch Everest Free theme only have Featured Post Slider. This means you can only add in your posts as Featured Slider. The image, title, and content are taken from the post.
1. First create the Post and don’t forget to add in the Featured Image in the post as this image is used in the slider. To add featured image see this http://en.support.wordpress.com/featured-images/#setting-a-featured-image
2. Then get the ID of the post. When you edit your post or write a post, you will see the id in your browser address bar. Also you will see the Post ID in All Posts section. But if you cannot find it then you can use this plugin to view it http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/catch-ids/
3. Then go to “Appearance => Theme Options => Featured Post Slider”. Add in the post id.
@jccaro: Just add the following CSS in “Custom CSS” box in Theme Options panel. Reduce the margin top as per your need.
#homepage-message { margin-top: 10px; }

@danskvand: You are using older version of Catch Everest. Please update and it will be fine.
Hi
I have a similar problem with the slider image. The page is:
http://www.tarm-handel.dk
I have added 2 sliders so far. When I roll over the text part of the slider (title and short description), then it links to the correct destination, which is:
http://www.tarm-handel.dk/markedsdage-i-tarm/
When I pull the mouse over the image, then a ” sign is beeing added on the URL, which leads to an invalid page:
http://www.tarm-handel.dk/markedsdage-i-tarm/”
How can I fix this?
Thanks,
Costas
