I am using C. Everest Pro; None of the featured images is showing on the homepage where I want them. However, when clicking for the entire site they show up. the images that do show are very large. And again I only want the slide images on the home page not the entire site. Is there any suggestions as far as how to resolve this issue? thanks

Thank you! I tried updating before asking the question and for some reason, the site ended up completely without formatting (I’ve updated with no trouble in the past). I haven’t bothered to try again yet… I’m sure it was something silly I did… your CSS solved my problem completely. Thanks.

@amyfanton: You need to install the theme in any demo site and show to then I can assist you better.

1. I would like to create an additional slider gallery on a page other than the home page (portfolio). Is this possible? Can someone please tell me how? I don’t want a gallery with multiple thumbnail images displayed at the same time (as it is now)
— You can show the same slider in whole site but you cannot have different slider in different pages.

2. How can I increase the height of the slider on the home page, and delete the three images & content that are below (the prayer wheels, mt. everest, mt kanchen)
— To change the height of the slider on the homepage. You can use “Featured Image” slider and then add the image of the height you want.
— To delete the three image and the content. That is called “Homepage Featured Content”. You can disable that from “Appearance => Theme Options => Homepage Settings => Homepage Featured Content Options”. Check “Disable Homepage Featured Content” and save it.

3. On another page (client galleries), I would like to create multiple galleries that each display only one photo, and are password protected for clients. Can someone please help me figure out how to do this?
— You can try installing plugins. Search for plugins that suits you best at http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/

@alisonmckellar: You need to update to latest version 1.2.2 to fixed that issue. Or if you want to fix it in this version then you can add the following CSS in “Appearance => Theme Options => Custom CSS” box.

For some reason, the background of the text on the title for the featured image slider is not showing up for the first two images in the slider. Any idea what could be causing that?

@CarlK3D: Check your setting at “Appearance => Featured Slider => Slider Options”. There you will see check box for “Exclude Slider post from Home page posts”. Check that and click on save.

@CarlK3D: Yes you can have multiple. Set how many slides you want from “Appearance => Featured Slider => Slider Options”. There you will bee input box for Number of Slides. If you want to add 4 slides then just type 4 and save it. then you will get the Featured Col #1, Featured Col #2, Featured Col #3 and Featured Col #4. There you can add respective post ID.

Sorry the page slider is not there in Free Version. For that you need to upgrade to pro version. See this for more feature in Pro version http://catchthemes.com/theme-instructions/catch-box-pro/

Hi Sakin,

Thanks so much for getting back to me about this! I switched from another theme, so image sizes are still in transition, but I’m glad now that the dot effect is gone so that the pictures currently being displayed look clearer.

@CarlK3D: I think you have still issue with the slider. SO, can you add the Post Ids.
For now can you add following ID in Slider Options
For box Featured Col #1 add 795 and for box Featured Col #2 add 789

Also I just noticed there is a very thin Grey Line above the Top Post. I think that’s the Slider since its never been there before.

I have disabled the Plugin and All My Posts are back on the Home Page.

Also the Slider left & Right Arrows appear at the top of the Page but are in the same place as the Latest Post. The Arrows do nothing.

@lachinn: For reducing the header padding top. Just change the padding and add the following CSS in “Appearance => Theme Options => Custom CSS” box.

You can write post and page both. The pages are for static content like About Us, Contact us and so on and the posts are for blogs and category content.

I see that you have hidden the featured image in post through Custom CSS.

Actually, I have another thing. If you look at the slider on my page and then go to read more and see the actual post, the slider picture is off because in order to have the picture fit the slider, it didn’t fit the featured picture in the post. How do I do the following…
I need to make a page a post…I thought I made a blog post, but I didn’t…I need to two but want more, want everything a post and then a few pages. Having trouble separating the two in my head. Can I switch a page to a post?

Also, header with logo is two tall. How can I make it shorter in height? It makes the slider and page below obsured.
