    Hello, I would like to have the Featured Image slider be simply that, an image slider without links or text. I really like this theme but we’re only using pages, not posts. Is it possible to make it an image slider only? Here is my site: http://www.drillingrp.com.au/

    Thank you so much for any help!

    This seems like it should be possible because the original images that come with the theme do not link to a post.

    @tinydream: Catch Everest Theme don’t have Featured Image Slider option. It only have Featured Post slider. So the slider has to be post. Sorry for the limitation.

    How to add Featured Post Slider
    Currently this theme only support Posts as the Featured Slider. To add Featured Slider, follow these basic steps:
    1. Click on Appearance -> Theme Options -> Featured Post Slider from your WordPress Dashboard.
    2. Click on Slider Options to select various slider options like enable slider, number of slides, transition effect, transition delay and transition length
    3. Then Click on Featured Post Slider Options and Add in the Post ID’s in Featured Slider Post#1, #2, #3 respectively.
    4. Click on Save button.

    Note:
    * When you add the Post Id\’s, make sure you have added in the Featured Image in your Post.
    * If you are unable to find the post ID then you can install the Catch IDs Plugin to find the Post IDs

    @Ashkanpasha: You are doing good. I just check in your site and the slider is working fine. To make your clear, the slider only slides after loading the site content. This helps you to load the content faster.

    How do I do the following…
    I need to make a page a post…I thought I made a blog post, but I didn’t…I need to two but want more, want everything a post and then a few pages. Having trouble separating the two in my head. Can I switch a page to a post?

    Also, header with logo is two tall. How can I make it shorter in height? It makes the slider and page below obsured.

    Thanks, LC http://www.laurelchinn.com

    @lachinn: For reducing the header padding top. Just change the padding and add the following CSS in “Appearance => Theme Options => Custom CSS” box.

    #site-logo {
        padding-top: 50px;
    }

    You can write post and page both. The pages are for static content like About Us, Contact us and so on and the posts are for blogs and category content.
