Hi, I am trying to use the Featured Slider on my website. I want to have something very similar to the one that is presented in the Zubin pro demo: https://catchthemes.com/demo/zubin-pro/

However, when I insert an image (with the size 1920×1080 as recommended), it appears small and not full as the one in the demo. You can see it on the first slide: https://covid3d-umfasos.nl/

Am I forgetting to change some settings here? How should I proceed?

I’ve just purchased Alchemist Pro (AP) after extensive consideration between this and Clean Enterprise Pro (CEP)- as the best for me all things considered.

There are a couple of features in the CEP theme that are lacking in AP. I was wondering whether it is possible to get code to include those? (if it matters, I’ve created a child theme to make all adjustments in).

Menu appearance

In the Clean Enterprise Pro theme when a drop down menu is selected the head item (in the menu bar) changes colour and there is a line above the sub-menu options to delineate it from the top menu.options drop downs. This I imagine is achieved through CSS – are you able to provide the relevant code for me please?

In the Adventurous Pro theme (the one I used on this site prior to moving to Alchemist Pro) the menu bar is a solid colour (black) with white text. This would similarly be CSS – are you able to provide the relevant code for me please?

I know this one may be more difficult to achieve, but is it POSSIBLE to add the Featured Slider:Image Overlay and Featured Slider: Content Alignment features added to the AP theme somehow?

Featured Slider:Image Overlay is the feature to have an dark overlay over the slider image. You can control the opacity of overlay from 0 to 100.
Featured Slider: Content Alignment is the feature to align the text over the slider image on left,right or center.

Site Content Style: Classic or Modern Classic Style, Modern Style. You can check out the difference in these screenshots.
Menu Style: Classic or Modern: The menu you see in the demo is classic. Whereas the hamburger menu is modern menu style.

Sorry for the multiple posts.

I’ve been through the specs of both pro themes in detail and I think the Alchemist theme has the edge for me as well.

I just have a couple of questions please regarding a few features that are listed for the Enterprise theme but not for Alchemy.

The Enterprise theme says it offers more slider types, specifically:
Featured Slider: Image Overlay
Featured Slider: Content Alignment
Are you able to explain these to me please?

The Enterprise theme also says it features:
Site Content Style: Classic or Modern
Menu Style: Classic or Modern
Are you able to explain these to me please? Are they just ‘shortcut’ styles meaning there’s not necessarily a need to create a different style – can just switch between two?

Go to => Appearance => Customize => Additional CSS and add the following CSS Code.

}

You can change the color according to your choice.

To add content to your homepage
Go to => Dashboard => Pages => Edit the page home => Add the necessary content and Update the page.

Also you can explore the theme options
Go to => Appearance => Customize => Theme Options => Explore features like Featured Slider, Portfolio and so on.

Dear Catch team,
I’ve been using FullFrame theme for more than 5 years and had this situation (slider not appearing) before when WP changed fully few years ago. Last time deactivating plug in’s and activating them back one by one worked for me. But now with this version 5.6.1 no. Demo works ok.
I’ve checked all settings in Featured Slider. And refreshed and updated all pages set up for slider with no results.
Could you please advise and help.

OK, I changed the logo size to 150×150 as you suggested. It actually did not make any difference on either the desktop or the mobile phone pages. Looks OK on a desktop screen but the logo, Site Title and Tag Line all are way too big on a phone in portrait mode. I also need to reduce the font size for the Content field on the Featured Slider if possible. I could get by with just disabling that content field for the Mobile phone in portrait mode, if there is a way to do that. I’ve tried numerous attempts with CSS code, but I guess I do not have the right code.

If you can provide some help with the CSS, that would be good. Or if you have other suggestions that would also be good.

We have some users still on IE 10, and a problem has been identified on our home page, associated with the Slider feature. When a user is on IE10, when they visit the home page, the left/right slider navigation buttons that normally appear on the lower-right corner of the slider area, are pushed down the page, and there is a large white blank area immediately below the slider, where there is normally body text. (The body Text is pushed down the page, below this blank area.) In most cases, when the slider auto-rotates to the next image, the problem is resolved – the left/right slider navigation buttons then render in the correct spot, and the body text slides back up to be immediately under the slider, but there have been cases where this does not take care of itself when the slider cycles to the next image.

Any suggestions on how to deal with this problem?

Hi! While looking for another Catch Theme to install in another WordPress site, I found this demo:

it has a “logo slider” that appears above the “Template Sticky” text. Is this slider possible to create in Photofocus Pro? That appears to be exactly what I need instead of a “featured content” slider.

I am using Parallax Frame Pro, and I have a Featured Slider on the Homepage/Frontpage. It is a custom slider type using 1920×1080 sized photos. I do not use the Title or Link options but I do use the Content text for a short description which appears in the center of the photo. This looks and works great on a desktop, or landscape mode on a mobile phone, but does not look good on a phone in portrait mode. The theme does not scale the site logo image or Content text down to fit the screen properly. How do I make it do that? My logo is now 252×90 and I need to to be about half that on a phone in portrait mode since the slider only takes up about 1/3 of the screen. The text also needs to be a bit smaller, unless you can show me how to get rid of the Previous/Next arrows, which currently cover up some of the text. Landscape mode is fine.

I know the theme supports scrollup, but can it also be made to support scroll-down? I see some of your themes have this in their demos, but I see no way to do that in Parallax Frame Pro. I use a full screen featured slider on my home page so it would be really nice to have. Can it be done somehow?

Go to => Appearance => Customize => Theme Options => Featured Slider => Enable the Section => Select the pages you want to have on the slider and Publish.

You can replace the Header Image with the Slider.
Go to => Appearance => Customize => Header Media => Enable on => Select Disabled and Publish.

Then,
Go to => Appearance => Customize => Theme Options => Featured Slider => Enable the Section and Select your options and Publish.

@Skandha Thanks for the info! When I get to “Featured Slider”, I enable it on the home page and I can see various options. I don’t see “Custom Images” anywhere. I can choose “Custom” as a “slider type” and I can choose various images, but that’s the problem. When I choose a custom image, it gets scaled much larger than its natural size and I can’t control the image options anywhere I can find.

What am I missing?

Did you try using the Featured Slider section for this?

Go to => Appearance => Customize => Theme Options => Featured Slider => Enable the section and try using Custom Images.

Hi! We would like to put a “Featured Content” slider on our homepage. We would like the slider to appear where the “International Association” badge appears:

Anyway, we tried creating a Custom slider and we chose a badge photo to display and found it was scaled up to some huge size such that the image quality was severely degraded. So, what’s the best way to accomplish this? Ideally, we would want the slider to consist of a badge image (similar to the badge that appears on the home page now), a caption describing the badge, and a link to the related site. If the badge could be the link that would be great.

Im using Abletone Free Template in my site.

When i set Featured slider, it only allows me to config the number of pages. Thers no config for transition time or loop.

So, in fact, it just changes the pages very quickly, and for that, useless.

How can i change these parameters? (transition time, loop)?
