@elliottrae: Let me explain you this.
After activating Essential Content Types Pro plugin.

Go to => Dashboard => Featured Content => Here you can add number of Feature Content post you want.
When you edit a featured content post, at the right hand side of the text editor you will see Content Types and Content Tags Option. You can create a new Content Type or Content Tag to categorize the post you want to show up in your site.

Now, Go to => Appearance => Widgets => Before Content => ECT: Featured Content Type => You will see number of options, on Include Type or Include Tag option type in the type or tag you have categorized your post into so that only those posts show up on your site.

The option to remove Recent Post/Content from homepage is only available in pro version of the theme. I suggest you to upgrade to Catch Fullscreen Pro. You can check out the additional-features available in pro version of the theme.

Go to => Appearance => Customize => Widgets => Select a Widget Area => Add a Widget => CT: Featured Posts => You can choose from the options available => Click Done and Publish

@bluemango: You cannot update pro theme like you update free theme. To update pro theme you’ll need to first download the theme from https://catchthemes.com/my-account page. Then install Catch Web Tools plugin and activate Catch Updater Module. https://wordpress.org/plugins/catch-web-tools/

@orthosoc: To clear you server level cache you will need to contact you web server or host.

1) The size of the header media box displaying the Header Media depends on the size of the screen. The recommend image size for header image is 1920*954px or images with similar aspect ratio. Let me know where the images being cut off.

2)To disable the Featured Image link in Featured Content
Go to => Appearance => Customize => Additional CSS and add the following CSS Code.

.home .archive-post-wrapper .post-thumbnail {
	pointer-events:none;
}

3) To remove the excess space between the Header Media and Featured Content sections.

#clients-section {
	display:none;
}

4) To remove the excess space after Featured Content sections

.archive-post-wrapper {
	padding-bottom:0 !important;
}
