@jennifersimsdesign-com-au: I checked your site, the icons color is by default grey color and when hovered, the color change to its default icon colors. Do you mean to change the one on hover or without hover?
And the Jetpack Facebook widget, you mean the Facebook Page widget? I tested in our site with Catch Evolution Pro and is working fine.

Using Featured Image Slider, content excerpt is not possible. But as I mentioned earlier, Post/Page and Category will show excerpt. And yes using Post/Page/Category will link to the very post, you cannot modify the link to make it link to custom pages or post.

@smoothiechode: I am afraid this is not possible with theme settings. You’ll need to customize the theme for that. I recommend you to hire a customizer.

@smoothiechode: Do you mean the navigation links for Posts or Pages? If you mean it for posts, WordPress comes up with a built in functionality. Go to Dashboard=> Appearance=> Menu and check Automatically add new top-level pages to this menu option in Menu Settings.
Which plugin are you using? Is it working on WordPress core themes (Twenty Fourteen)?

@smoothiechode: The recommend aspect ratio is 7:3. As long as the image meets this aspect ratio, he image seem to fit properly in your site. Let me know if any problem.

@chd3143: Okay, if its displaying demo image, seems Featured Content is working fine. Following above steps will display demo featured content. For Displaying posts in Featured Content, go to Dashboard=> Appearance=> Customize=> Featured Content=> Featured Content Options and select Featured Post Content in Select Content Type. Then scroll down a bit and put your desired post ID in Featured Post #.

@chd3143: Sorry for that. I guess you mean Featured Content. Go to Dashboard=> Appearance=> Customize=> Featured Content=> Featured Content Options select Homepage/Frontpage in Enable Featured Content on option. Then select Demo Featured Content in Select Slider Type. And please make sure to check Check to Enable Slider option. Click Save & Publish, then check it on the home page if the it works.

@smoothiechode: You are using a really large image and the aspect ratio of the image doesn’t match the recommendation either. Please use the image of recommended size 1680×720 or if you chose to use large image, use the image with similar aspect ratio.

@aaspedia: It should have worked fine. I checked it too and got no error. Have you corrected the code, I don’t see the changes in the home page html. The link html should have following attributes after code replacement
property="v:title" rel="v:url" as can be seen in other pages beside home page.
