Keymaster@smoothiechode: Go to Dashboard=> Appearance=> Customize=> Theme Options=> Custom CSS box and add the following CSS:
.home #content { display: none; }

ParticipantThanks so much Mahesh. Worked.
I like the theme a lot.
I do however have one more issue that I was wondering if you could help me with Mahesh.
When I go to appearance >> customize >> header image >> page/post featured header image size and select slider image it doesn’t seem to convert into a slider image and stays very large.
Do you know what might be causing this?

Keymaster@smoothiechode: You are using a really large image and the aspect ratio of the image doesn’t match the recommendation either. Please use the image of recommended size 1680×720 or if you chose to use large image, use the image with similar aspect ratio.

ParticipantThe problem with using 1680×720 is that there are very few relevant images around with that exact size and I am not familiar with any basic photo editing skills.
I specifically filtered for images on google greater than 2MP and that were wide in aspect ratio so that it would approximately be the same as the recommended dimensions.
This doesn’t just go for the homepage but for all pages on the site.
Could you explain more about using the image with the same aspect ratio? Is this what I should do?
I noticed that when I changed the setting to slider image it did temporarily work and the image looked great but then it seems to go back to the larger image when i refresh.

Keymaster@smoothiechode: The recommend aspect ratio is 7:3. As long as the image meets this aspect ratio, he image seem to fit properly in your site. Let me know if any problem.

Hi, I’m wondering if it’s possible to replace the post at the bottom of the homepage I’m working on. I just want to insert a short paragraph in there. I saw your answer in another post here on hiding posts but I don’t just want to hide it, I also want to display something in its place. Thank you.

Keymaster@irogsinta: For this, you’ll need to use Static Front Page. First create a page with the content you would like to display on the homepage. Then go to Dashboard=> Appearance=> Customize=> Static Front Page and select A Static Page in Front page displays option then select the very page you created with custom content you wanted to display on the homepage in Front Page and some other page in Posts page where you want to display the latest posts.

ParticipantMahesh, thanks for your reply. Then I guess my question now is whether it is possible to quickly duplicate the current homepage I have into a Static page. I don’t know how I can make the page act like the way the home screen acts, where there are wide images and one that stays in place while scrolling.

Hi
I have Catch Responsive Pro and am unable to change the home page from a posts to static page. This is my first time using WordPress, so a little bit confusing. I have read the instructions on changing the front page to a static page but cannot find this option on my Dashboard. I am not sure where I should be looking.
Regards
Ursula
