I updated the theme Adventurous Free from 2.2 to 3.0. Now the menu at the top of each page does not display correctly.
I have Menu1 set to be the menu. Previously it displayed across the top of the screen with the various menu entries. Some of them are drop down child menus.
Now the menu is represented by 3 lines on the right of the screen. Clicking the 3 line button creates a large screen-filling window with a whole bunch of entries in a list down the left side of the window. It appears to be placing every page in the system into the menu, not the entries specified in Menu1.
I tried a bunch of things to get it changed back, with no success. Is this a permanent change? If so, I will need to find a new theme.
Thanks,

a) cleared and turned off caching in my caching plugin. I might have turned it back on by now.
b) cleared the browser (Firefox) cache. My site is brewsky.space.
It looks like the 3 bars may be for responsive display on phones? I don’t know why it would think the PC is a phone.
The changelog doesn’t seem to say much, especially for jumping from 2.2.2 to 3.0.

Go to Appearance => Customize => Menus => View All Locations and select the desired menu.
Let me know if this resolves your issue.Regards,

To me, not logged into WP, it shows the three bars to the right. When I click on the 3-bar icon, it shows a dropdown panel with the list of all of the pages.
I don’t understand why the site is presented differently to you.
I don’t understand why it is listing all of the pages to build the menu.
I have gone to Appearance => Customize => Menus => View All Locations (many times!). The allowed locations are Header Right Menu and Header Secondary Menu. When I select Header Right Menu the menu displays correctly in the “preview” page. After Publishing, viewing the live page shows the three bars (caches are all cleared). Selecting Header Secondary menu adds a threebar icon on the left of the logo.
When I go back into Appearance => Customize => Menus => View All Locations, the preview page is back to showing the three bars. The menu location is still set to Header Right Menu.
If I clear both menu locations, I get the menu you saw (all pages listed) on the preview page. However, the live page shows the three bars. It seems that the display of the preview page is not the same as what is displayed on the live page.
