I’m trying to display a grid of logos of places we’ve played, on one of our pages. I don’t see anything to add to the page that does this.

Something like

Here is a list of places we’ve entertained:

I1                        I2                       I3                       I4                       I5

I6                        I7                       I8                       I9                       I10

 

The I’s would be logo images evenly spaced.

@lblumenfeld : You may make use of the Portfolio using the essential content types plugin. Install and activate the Essential Content Types Plugin 
Add the portfolio items from the WordPress admin section.  You may make use of shortcode to display the Portfolio items on a desired page. Let me know if you have any questions regarding the use of Portfolio section.

I looked at the content types and have no idea how to add this. When I try to add a project, it just takes me t o a new page. Can you please provide detailed instructions? Let’s assume I have 10 logos that are uploaded to my images and I want to display then in a 2×5 grid somewhere on my homepage.

I need to have this up tomorrow night, so I’d appreciate an answer tomorrow, if you can.

Hi. Can you please post some detailed instructions on how to do this? I looked at the instructions for the Essential Content Types and it just shows how to add a shortcode, but it doesn’t tell me how to create the grid of logos.

@lblumenfeld : Login to your WordPress admin section. After activating Essential Content types plugin you will find Portfolio option added in the dashboard. Go to Portfolio => Add New
Enter the title of logo on the title section and set a featured image for each new projects that you have added and that should be the logo image you want to display for each item. After adding image click on publish. You will need to add new for the next one. Add all the logos that you would like to display. You can view the added items from Portfolio => All projects.

After adding the required items add the shortcode in the particular page or post that you would like to display the logo items and it should work. Let me know if you still need any further assistance.

I’m confused when you mention to add a new project for each logo. These are not individual projects, they are just logo images. I want to have ten images displayed on a 2 x 5 grid.

When I add a new project, it shows me a page designer for the project. Each logo will not have its own page. This is simply a 2 x 5 grid of images.

@lblumenfeld : I understand that you want to display some a grid of images but you will need to add every item as a new project and later with the help of shortcode you may display all of the images as a single page or a post as desired. Let me know if this helps you out. Alternatively you may also add a Gallery instead of the Portfolio. Let me know if you still need any further assistance.
