    Hello, I’m using Photofocus (free).

I noticed that theme’s Homepage (landing page), as opposed to the all the other Pages and Posts, is actually part of the template itself, and in order to make changes you have to actually edit the template.

What’s strange to me is that under Pages, there is also a Page called “Home”. The “Home” Page doesn’t look anything like the template’s Homepage (landing page). It’s automatically published, but it’s just a lorem ipsum.

I tried to delete the “Home” Page, but it messed up all my Header links. How can I unpublish/delete this “Home” Page without it screwing my site up?

    Hello @gulabwala,

If you don’t need home page then you can just simply trash or unpublished the page.

And please kindly share your website url. Thank you.

Hi Sujeet, thanks for the prompt reply.

If I trash or unpublish the “Home” Page, suddenly half the links in my Header across all pages on the site don’t publicly show (and viewing the site from the WordPress editor shows those missing links, but they are underlined with wavy white lines).

Restoring the unnecessary “Home” Page fixes the issue (usually, although once I had to rebuild the Header because they still wouldn’t display).

    Why is this?

I would like to post the URL, but this forum is publicly indexed by Google and I don’t want the URL to show up on Google with this issue.

    Any thoughts?
