    Hi Cath-Themes-Team,

I can only repeat my question from above: May you please explain what was the reason for the issue with the categories?

Also, once again, the other point with the missing checkbox for the category “Shootings and Publications” is still open:

    Screenshot of a missing checkbox

Looking forward to a decent response.

    Hi Skandha,

yes, I can confirm that the biggest issue is now solved (listing of all posts on the blog page). Great!
However, may you please explain what was the reason for it?

The other point with the missing checkbox for the category “Shootings and Publications” is still open though.

In the meanwhile two other friends have had a look at these two issues.
They are professionally dealing with websites, wordpress and server configurations since many years – and are only raising their eyebrows about it to be honest. They have never experienced such problems which are clearly caused by the Theme.

    Hi Skandha,

    negative.
Hochstaufen under the moon, GER – Nov 2020 was only showing up in the blog list because I added the category “Mountaineering” to it:
    Category Adventure
    Category Astrophotography and Timelapse
    Category Hiking
    PLUS Category Mountaineering

Now that I deselected the category Mountaineering from this particular post, it is not showing up on the blog list anymore: http://willigphotography.com/blog/

This system is going on with in all other cases:
The selection of this particular category will decide if the post is listed or not.
    Why is that?

Also please note that all posts are properly displayed once I switch to an alternative theme (for testing purpose “Twenty Twenty-One”.

    Hi Skandha,

no, those parameters are all the same on the individual posts. That particular topic is deactivated all the time.
However, after I was realizing that also posts in between are missing, I noticed that only the posts from the category “Mountaineering” were displayed.

First idea on my end: To check
Posts >> Categories >> Parent Category
That setting is at “None” for all categories though.

    Second test:
On all posts which were not displayed so far I then activated also the category “Mountaineering”:
Now they appear properly in the list of posts.

That however bears the question: What’s so special about category “Mountaineering”?
Plus: Something odd also appears in the overview of the categories. The checkbox at category “Shootings and Publications” is not shown.

    What’s going on here?

    Hi Skandha,

well, the outcome is the very same than before. Please see the screenshot.
Appearance => Customize => Header Media => Enable On => Entire Site, Page/Post Featured Image => Publish
FYI, in the meanwhile I did activate the sidebar with widgets – which doesn’t seem to be aligned either.

THAT did the job! Yes, that now works fine.
    Thank you.

    Hi Skandha,

    1. The Featured Image was already supposed to be hidden by an additional plugin – which does the job on all other pages.
Even though I am removing the Featured Image entirely, it now displays this ugly strip from the first picture which is embedded in the About Me info. Btw, it did the same before I was installing the Hide Featured Image plugin.
So that didn’t make it unfortunately.
    Any other ideas?

    2. That does work on all other posts. That one can get checked off the list. Thank you.

    Hm, not really…

I did select Excluding Homepage, Page/Post Featured Image – but the picture isn’t taking up the entire width and also doesn’t get placed at the very top (like in the three examples from the demo in my initial post).

    Screenshot

I tried it with a different image size but that didn’t make a difference either.

How can I get those featured images to fill up the entire width and also to get placed at the very top also?

    Hm, that did the job.
However, there must be a way to turn off the automatic display of the About Me (or the Publications) page all over the site.

Let’s tackle this one by one:
    The reference is http://willigphotography.com/about/

    1. The display of the About Me content on the Homepage right underneath the Featured Slider is fine anyway – beside of the right very high picture (which is an automatic crop). How am I getting rid of this automatically added cropped picture on the right? It does look absolutely fine on the actual About Me page. Why is it adding this ugly strip?

    2. If I now select any of the Blog Posts or the Publications for example, it is showing an About Me text – which isn’t even up to date anymore.
There must be a way to turn this off in general without having to use additional CSS code with the Post ID of each and every single page.

    Thank you!
