I had someone who knows word press do that This was her response “Okay. This is a tricky bug after all.
I read some online forums and tried a few things. I uploaded a new and fresh copy of the wp-includes folder but that didn’t fix the issue.
I tried to deactivate various plugins to see if any of them are causing the problem, but none of that proved to be the problem.
Then I switched from your theme to the default Twenty Fifteen theme. When you do that and click into the Media Library, it works.
That means there’s something in your theme’s code that is causing a conflict with the Media Library. Now you have to decide if you can live with it or if you want to change themes to work around the issue.
As it stands, you can use the Media Library if you switch to using the List view instead of the Grid view. (See the screenshot to see what I mean.)
You can upload files and then copy/paste the file’s URL into your posts as needed. The Media Library view from the Posts edit page still will not work.Or you can switch to a new theme and that can solve the problem.
Hope that helps. You could also try to reach out to the theme developers and see if they have a fix/patch for the issue.”
What is the next thing I should do…other than change theme?
