MemberMy “Blog” category only has 2 of my many posts, so I can’t rely on that category.
I guess I need to tag all my blog posts with some type of “News” category, and then enable that in my menu for this to function as I was expecting?
MemberHi Sakin- I have the same issue as badbilly, but that solution does not work for me.
I was previously using the catch box theme so I had created a “Home” and “News” page and had those set as my static and post pages in the reading settings. Setting that back to “Your latest Posts” and unchecking the “Enable Latest Posts or Page” in the theme homepage settings has fixed my home page, but my “News” page is now blank. Going through my menu settings, I don’t have a category “News” (or any category that encompasses all my posts) to add to my main menu- not sure if there’s a way around this?

MemberBizarre- I don’t have a functions folder… This is all supposed to be inside the catch box theme correct? Hmm maybe I’ll just wait until the next update comes out 🙂 Any chance you’ll be adding Instagram to the social list?
MemberHi Sakin- I don’t see to have a file named simplecatch_functions.php anywhere in the child theme that I created from the main catch box theme- I even looked in the original parent catch box theme and didn’t see it there either?
MemberHi Sakin- my apologies I didn’t realize I had gotten into the Catch Everest Forum. I’ve posted my inquiry over in the Catch Box forum- sorry for the confusion.
MemberI wanted to fix the title of the Flickr and Vimeo social icon (it currently reads “Flicker” and “viemo”) and also change one of them to an Instagram icon- I copied down the inc/widgets.php file from the main Catch Box theme and put it into my child theme, made the mods but they don’t seem to show? Is this not the proper place to make these mods?
