I would really like to add a link to my bandcamp site in the header social media icons. Is there a way to add new ones that are not currently in the list?

@KellyMartin: Oh there is no option to add additional social icons. Either you need to hire a customizer or our support team to add the social icon for you.

But if you have little knowledge about photo editing then I can share with you a small trick. There are lot of Social Icons option in Catch Everest which you don’t user. So, just add your bandcamp link on any one of the social profile link.

Then what you can now do it just replace the image of the social icon you have used with your bandcamp icon.

I wanted to fix the title of the Flickr and Vimeo social icon (it currently reads “Flicker” and “viemo”) and also change one of them to an Instagram icon- I copied down the inc/widgets.php file from the main Catch Box theme and put it into my child theme, made the mods but they don’t seem to show? Is this not the proper place to make these mods?

Is it easy/possible to change the Twitter icon from the lower case t to the bird?

Also – following the above thread it looks like I could change the .png files – but am not sure where to find them. I didn’t see them on my file server but I’m not sure if I am looking in the right place.

@fritzhesse: You can check the image name “social-profile.png” in image directory of the theme directory of “catch-everest-pro”.

How can i change the name of the social network? I’ve changed the image, but when the mouse is over the icon the name is still wrong.

I found that you can make the override in catcheverest-functions.php. Included there is the text used for each network image.

@b.grangeia: To change the name you can build child theme of Catch Everest theme and then just copy the function catcheverest_social_networks() in your child theme functions.php and edit the title there.
