MemberHi,
I posted a little while ago about creating seperate home and post pages but didnt recieve any assistance?
Is this possible? I would like only Homepage Headline and Featured Content Box’s on the ‘Home’ page with no page title at the bottom. On the ‘News’ page I would like only myposts and sidebar with the Homepage Headline but no Featured Content Box’s.
Please let me know if this is possible or not?
Many thanks.

Keymaster@badbilly: Your site is not opening. Can you check your site if it is working or not?

Keymaster@badbilly: I see that you have enable the “Enable Latest Posts or Page” section in “Appearance => Theme Options => Homepage Settings => Homepage / Frontpage Settings. Now, go there and uncheck “Enable Latest Posts or Page” and save it.
Then in “Setting => Reading”, just select “Front page displays” to “Your latest posts” and save it.
After doing this you will see you homepage with headline and Featured Content only.
Then add the category News in your Custom Menu “Appearance => Menu” see this http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/

MemberHi Sakin- I have the same issue as badbilly, but that solution does not work for me.
I was previously using the catch box theme so I had created a “Home” and “News” page and had those set as my static and post pages in the reading settings. Setting that back to “Your latest Posts” and unchecking the “Enable Latest Posts or Page” in the theme homepage settings has fixed my home page, but my “News” page is now blank. Going through my menu settings, I don’t have a category “News” (or any category that encompasses all my posts) to add to my main menu- not sure if there’s a way around this?

KeymasterYou have category blog see this http://reactor88.com/category/blog/ . You can check your categories at “Posts => Categories” in your WordPress Dashboard for the list of categories.

MemberMy “Blog” category only has 2 of my many posts, so I can’t rely on that category.
I guess I need to tag all my blog posts with some type of “News” category, and then enable that in my menu for this to function as I was expecting?

MemberUnder Settings, Reading, there is an option to choose two static pages as the Front Page. This is confusing How can there be two? Exactly what does Front Page imply, if not the root domain Home page? Of the two Front page options, Front Page and Posts page, which one will be the true root domain home page?
AND now my problem. I’ve created a page, Blog Posts, and it’s displayed on my menu fine. But when I click on it, neither the text of the actual page, nor a running display of all my blog posts are shown. Nothing aside from the sites default heading is show.
Help! Any suggestions? I’m stuck.
