If you are using “Safari” Browser, it unzips the content automatically. So either you need to re-zip the content of theme files, or Use a different browser.

The Upgrade Now button only appears in free version. So, you need to re-zip the files and install the new pro theme you just downloaded.

The options from free version will move on to Pro version. Once you install Pro theme, there should be two themes as Catch Base and Catch Base Pro. Use Pro version as the theme.

I do not think it would cause any problems. But the customizer not loading must be an issue with the plugin. Can you try and see if this happens with default twenty-x themes as well?

On the edit of that page, near bottom (in admin area) there is Fullframe Options Tab. There in Single Page/Post Image, select Disable Image and save the post. It should be removed.
