I see the Featured Content and the Portfolio sections in the Decree Pro theme. How can I also add a Services section?

@benderpc: If you are using Essential Content Type Plugin you can insert shortcodes into post or pages where you want to display services section. Check out the link to how you can display services using shortcodes.

Let me know if you’re still having difficulty displaying services section.

Hmm, the Decree Pro theme already have built-in almost all the content types that the Essential Content Types plugin provides so why can’t I add just the Services module to Decree Pro?

Why do I need to install a plugin that provides most of the functionality that is already there?

Am I missing something?

@benderpc: Yes, the decree pro theme provides most of the content types but does not provide Services content type. Since you said you want to use Services section you’ll need to make use of the plugin and shortcodes as I mentioned in the previous reply as it is not available in the theme itself.

@skandha what I am not clear is that:

1. If I mixed the elements provided with the decree Pro theme like the Feature Content, Portfolio, etc. together with the Essential Content Types plugin elements like Services, how can I control the order that the various elements appear on the Home page?

2. I am clear how to use elements from the Essential Content Types in pages/post by using the shortcodes. Are there also shortcodes for the elements that come with the Decree Pro theme if I want to use these elements in pages/posts?

@benderpc: To order the elements like feature content, portfolio, etc you will need to create a child theme and then make some customization. Let me know if you are familiar with child theme customizations.

There are no shortcodes for elements that come from Decree Pro theme.
