How do i remove the search box from my header?

@mrabang: That’s header right sidebar default. If you want to disable it, then go to “Appearance => Theme Options => Header Options” and then check “Disable Header Right Sidebar” and save it.

Incorrect…That will also remove your social links. You need to use the editor.

@Richard: In Catch Box Pro theme, if you just want to use Social Icons in the header right sidebar and remove search then you can go to “Appearance => Widgets” and add “Catch Box Social Widget” to Header Right Sidebar.

Hi @Sakin, If you “Disable Header Right Sidebar” to remove the Search Bar, then won’t any widgets (like Catch Box Social Widget) added to Header Right Sidebar also not appear? That’s certainly the case with my testing.

@Robertf: Yes, you are right. But if you don’t want to disable Header right sidebar and want to add widgets. Then just go to “Appearance => Widgets” and add in the required widgets to Header Right Sidebar.

I don’t need Search for the website I’m building, but I do need the Header right sidebar to display a contact details widget.

It seems I can’t have one without the other?

@Robertf: Now, you can just add widget in header right sidebar as per your need and then don’t add search widget. So, you will not have search in header right sidebar. Please post in your site URL and explain.

@Sakin, thanks for your response. It’s a test website I’m building for a customer. The plan is for me to buy your CatchBox Pro theme on their behalf and for me to set up the pages and menus etc. They’ll then edit the content. We don’t need the Search bar in the header right sidebar, but I do need the sidebar to display a contact details widget.

@Robertf: In this case, you need to enable header right sidebar. After that, just go to “Appearance => Widgets” and drag and drop “Text Widget” or “CT: Adspace Widget” to “Header Right Sidebar” and add your contact details. This widget will replace the default search in Header Right Sidebar.
