    I need the Featured images in the boxes on the frontpage, to show the category of images. In the pages they link to I have galleries and therefore I would like to remove the image in these pages. Is that possible?

    @jesper : You will need to install and activate Jetpack plugin to use this feature. If you have Jetpack activated :
    GO to Appearance => Customize => Content Options
    Under Featured Images : Uncheck Display on single posts/Display on pages
    Alternatively, you may hide with additional css.
