    Hello!

    I have just started to test bold photography free.
    It feels and looks cool and nice.

    I would like to create several sets of photos and show the title of these sets on one page.

    In your faq:
    Appearance => Customize => Theme Options => Gallery
    However, I not see Gallery in the theme options.

    What is the best way to create these galleries?

    The site will be in 2 languages. What is the plugin you suggest to use?

    The title is difficult to read on the header image. How can I add a background for the text? (Or any other solution?)

    The title of the page is not displayed. How may I make it seen?

    Thanks and greetings

    Tamás

    @tamas: The gallery option to use in the customizer is available in only Pro Version of the theme. I suggest you to upgrade to Bold Photography Pro to use this feature. You can use Catch Gallery to display gallery in pages but the option in customizer is not available in free version. Follow this link to know about the comparison of free version with Pro version

    For multiple languages we support WPML Plugin
    Please post in your site URL for other issues. I will provide you the solution.

    Tikaram

    Thanks, Tikaram!
    I am going to check WPML out.

    The Catch Gallery demo site looks really strange on my screen:

    https://photos.app.goo.gl/QUJEk7zZspJTsVjt7

    The thumbnails are sqeezed! I think it is an error at the demo site…

    Greetings

    @tamas: What device are you using to view the site? It looks fine at my end.

    Samsung Galaxy T-900
    Android 5.1.1

    Tested with Opera, Chrome, even with requesting desktop version… The result was always the same.
    With Firefox the thumbnail area is blank, just white space after the text…
    🙁

    Testing with Modula Gallery it works fine:

    Hello Tikaram!

    Polylang is not supported by this theme.

    What happens if I use Polylang?
    What are the inconveniences I have to face with?

    The site is in Hungarian and I want to add English to it.
    WPML is a paying (regularly!) plugin. Polylang is free.

    I would prefer to pay for Your theme, than to pay for WPML!

    Bold Photography looks sooo nice! I would like to keep on using it!

    Thanks

    Tamas
    Am I the first (only) one having trouble on mobile device? Please, let me know when it is fixed. Thanks!

    BTW, I get NO notification when you answer! I have to check it out from time to time, however, I have the “Notify me of follow-up replies via email” set.
    How may i get notified?

    Hello again!

    I asked the question at the Polylang forum and this is their answer:

    As per my knowledge, Catch Themes do support Polylang.

    I would be very glad if you did support Polylang!

    Thanks!

    @tamas: We used to support polylang previously, but we are not supporting in our recent themes. If you use polylang it may work for some sections but it might not work for all the sections. The gallery issue seems to be on the demo page only, try using it on your site, you will not have any issues with the plugin. The email might have been delivered onto the spam folder, please check your spam as well. Let me know if there are any more issues.

    Thanks.
    Polylang answered:

    Yes, looks like now they only support in pro version of theme. Just install polylang and check in. You will not safe in any trouble. It will just be that some of the strings might not be translated and if you need it later then just upgrade to Bold Photography Pro theme and it’s mentioned that it will work in that theme.

    So, I have installed it and it seems that it does work now.

    Do you really support Polylang better in the paid Pro version?

    Greetings

    Hi!

    I would like to insert a new line into the site title, so the Japanese text would be in a new line.
    I tried <br> an &nbsp – none worked.

    So, how may I split the site title into two lines?

    Thanks a lot!

    @tamas: We do not support Polylang either with the free version or with the paid Pro version. We support WPML in the Pro version only, which I have already mentioned.

    You may use the following additional css to break your site title. If you make any changes to your site title from admin section it will not change and you will need to change it through CSS using this method.

    .site-title a::before {
       content: 'Zoltan GAAL Photographer \A がーるぞるたん 写真家';
       visibility: visible;
       white-space: pre-wrap;
    }
    .site-title a {
       visibility: hidden;
    }

    Thanks! It works for BOTH languages. However, I would need different titles.
    For the time being I have put the second line into the tagline.
    So, it’s ok now.

    On a narrow device the menu is just an icon. I like this!
    On a wild screen the menu is a long line. It covers a part of the image, so, it is disturbing.

    How may I have only a menu icon on all screens?

    For the time being it’s okay like this.
    However, later on we are considering to upgrade.

    When will the page titles be displayed? (New release)

    Thanks
