Since last week I’m unable to add images to my post as I used to do.
Instead of one image on the homepage and a larger one in the post itself, two images appear on the homepage and one of them (the larger one) appears on the post itself. Unfortunately also without the text added to the image.
I can’t find the solution myself. Hopefully you can help me somehow! Would be great.

@m-mommers: In the first post, seems you have set featured image and also the image within the content, that is why two images are being displayed. And about the text, in the first post, you don’t have any text in the content to show. Please add some text and put only one image (either featured image or image in content only). Let me know if any problem.

Thanks: my problem with the two images is resolved!!

The other problem I mentioned concerns the text below the image. They all disappeared!

The text was added to the image after uploading and appeared in the white box below the image (caption; subscript).
The text still showes in the content page (see the details of the image) but the text doesn’t shows anymore after posting.
I can’t find the solution myself. Do you have any idea how to fix it? Thank you in advance!

@m-mommers: Are you using any pluigns? If so try disabling theme one by one check if that resolves the issue. From when did this issue occur? From post titled Heggenmus, all contents are displaying fine.

Hello Mahesh,

I deactivated the plugins one by one. Unfortunately without solving the problem.
The content is ok. The captions beneath the images are still not seen after publishing the post.
Still trying to find the solution. Some help would be fine.

I discovered the problems 16 februari. The last post before that was published on the 1 februari.

The theme Simple Catch has been adjusted since then as well, since the number of images to show in the slide option has decreased.
From over 200 images (!) it is limited now to a maximum of 20. Too bad. I really liked that feature of the theme!
Any chance the numbers might be increased at the next adaption of the theme?
Still love the theme anyway!

@m-mommers: The above mentioned problem of not visible caption is because of the following CSS:
.site-content { color: #ffffff; }
Please remove it or add the following Custom CSS:

.site-content .wp-caption-text {
    color: #bbb;
}

For number of sliders more than 20, you’ll need to modify some code in the theme itself. Edit functions/panel/customizer/customizer.php and go to line 422 and modify 'max' => 20, to your desired number.
This cannot be modified through child theme, so you’ll need to modify the code in the theme itself.
Note: On every update, make sure you do this customization again so you won’t lose it.
