*This only concerns the homepage – all other pages share with a thumbnail perfectly.

In searching the forum here I saw you mentioned adding SEO by Yoast to solve the problem with no thumbnail showing on facebook. I’m very new at this – if I download and activate SEO by Yoast and I already have SEO Keyword Page will there be any conflict? If I need to uninstall SEO Keyword page and activate SEO by Yoast – will I have any problems with my website? Thank you so much for you help.

@Keren: I just check in your site and see that you have setup blank image from Jetpack plugin. I found this <meta property="og:image" content="http://wordpress.com/i/blank.jpg" />
You can test your site https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/og/object?q=http%3A%2F%2Fhis-israel.com%2F

Change that image from ‘http://wordpress.com/i/blank.jpg’ to whatever you desire and will be solved. Look for setting in your JetPack plugin. As this image is from Jetpack plugin.

I am having the same issue, and have no idea what to do. The above doesn’t make sense and instead of sharing a featured image, it shares my header from the homepage whenever I hit the “Facebook” tab. Both Yoast SEO and JetPack are installed. Please help! eatcleanlivedirty.com

@meklein163: I just check in your site and see that you have installed “JetPack” plugin and “Facebook Share Thumbnails” plugin. Both are sending og:image data. You can disable any one plugin. I see the image when I share in my Facebook. It is using the image as “http://i1.wp.com/www.theclimatemobilization.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/CM_Logo_Round03-42.png”

Hi there, I too am having this problem and I don’t understand about og:image

Whenever I share a post to FB I get an image from the sidebar/footer not the post.

Try adding in “Yoast SEO” plugin. It automatically takes your featured image as og:image.
