I have my Simple Catch theme set to #dd521f for Link Color in Appearance > Theme Options > Content Color Options, and yet, when you view my site you’ll see that the links throughout my body text and sidebars are all black.

Can anyone tell me why the link color isn’t applying?
ThanksOctober 31, 2012 at 10:10 pm #1468SakinKeymaster@LeslieMiller: You are using old version. So, I won’t be able to fix it. Can you upgrade to latest version of Simple catch. If the problem still exist then let me know it.

October 31, 2012 at 11:53 pm #1474SakinKeymaster@LeslieMiller: You are still using Simple Catch Version 1.4.5 . See this style from your site http://uncledavescow.com/wp-content/themes/simple-catch/style.css
But our latest version is 1.4 8 http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/simple-catch
November 1, 2012 at 12:43 am #1475LeslieMillerMemberI logged in, went to updates and ran the update and now it says, “Themes
Your themes are all up to date.”
November 1, 2012 at 1:18 am #1476LeslieMillerMemberAlso, suddenly my footer just changed! I had it set to a background that was the same butcher paper as is behind the title/header, etc and now it’s reverted back to the original theme’s background! I didn’t do anything to make this change.
November 1, 2012 at 1:19 am #1477LeslieMillerMemberAs well, I see all the work I did to update style css link colors, and background colors for my menu changed! They used to be orange, and my RSS and Twitter buttons and search were a nice teal. Everything I worked on has switched back!
November 1, 2012 at 5:18 pm #1488SakinKeymaster@LeslieMiller: Always remember that you shouldn’t change the core theme file directly. You can customize your theme with the help of Theme Options under Appearance Tab of your WordPress Dashboard. When you want to modify further then there is two way to do it. For simple modification, then you can use “Custom CSS” box in your Theme Options to edits. Further, if you want to do the advance modification on the theme files and functions then you need to build child theme and work on it.
