    Hi,

Unfortunatley, I can’t remember if I updated the theme files. I know I added some code via the CSS, but I don’t remember if I updated the files (I have different sites which use catch responsive (pro)). In the past I did things to the files, buit that was with a different theme, so… I’m just not sure.

So, is there a way to easly check if I did updates to the theme? I could copy them all to Word and do a text comparison per file, but that seems a lot of work.

And I don’t understand how child themes work. If I update the parent, am I running the newest version?

@habo : When any theme update is available you can see it from WordPress Dashboard. Go to Appearance => Themes. if any update is available you can see the following text
New version available. Update Now. Alternatively, you may check the readme.txt file and find the changelog. The latest version of the theme can be found in the changelog which you can compare with the latest version visiting the theme page on our site. The theme version and changes are clearly stated in changelog.
Let me know if you need further assistance.

    Regards,

@habo : If you need to make any customization on your site you will need to create a child theme and make your customization within the child theme. If the changes are done in the parent theme, that will be lost after theme update. If you update the parent theme, you are running the latest version of the theme.
