I’ve just installed this theme and noticed the image path is incorrect:
Looking at the source code the links should be to the following folder:
wp-content/themes/catch-evolution
The theme however is installed as:
wp-content/themes/catch-evolution-pro
I’ve created a new folder: wp-content/themes/catch-evolution-pro and moved the all of the images into it but of course this renders the media library useless.
@Lizi: You shouldn’t add any files inside `catch-evolution-pro’ theme directory. All your new image should be added from “Add Media”. If you want to add image in post/page, then you need to add it from “Add Media” button in your page/post. If you just want to upload image, then you can upload it from “Media => Add New”.
But if you are trying to change image in slider. Then you can upload image from “Appearance => Theme Options => Featured Slider”
So, please post in your site URL and tell us what are you trying to do it. Then I can suggest you accordingly.
We have an active WP blog, but are building (in a different folder) a new design for our blog using CE. I dowloaded CE, then created a CE-child theme to work in. When I try to change the header by uploading an image from my computer, I get this message – “The uploaded file could not be moved to wp-content/uploads/2015/08.”
Via ftp, I created this folder (in CE-child) and manually moved the image into it. But the image still will not upload.
The source code says the header image path is <div id=”header-image”>
</div>
Should the path be in the CE-child folder? How do I make this work?
I did not have a problem with changing the header image until we had our web host copy the database into our new, trial blog folder, so we could work with the content and see how to design.
Did copying the database somehow affect the ability to upload images/change header?
@Sue: You can change header image from “Appearance => Customize => Header Image”. If you get error message like “The uploaded file could not be moved to wp-content/uploads/2015/08.”. Then make sure that have set permission 755 to upload directory. For this, you need to check with your Hosting server support. It’s the issue of folder permission.
