Hi, I am trying to add a footer note for my home page (just add regular text) http://www.thesleepingbabybook.com/
but can not find how to add it (preferably below or above the “copyright”)
Thank youSeptember 18, 2013 at 8:53 pm #14733SakinKeymaster@mayabarak: Sorry, there is no option to change the footer section in Simple Catch Free theme. You need to upgrade to pro version where you have Footer Editor to change it.

Thanks for the answer.
Is there any place at the bottom where I can add such a text box (even under the posts)? or maybe a wordpress widget I can add?
Have a great day
MayaSeptember 18, 2013 at 10:58 pm #14737SakinKeymaster@mayabarak: No there is not. Even the footer widgets are only there in pro version. The only way that you can work on will be by building child theme and editing the footer.php in your child theme.
September 18, 2013 at 11:10 pm #14741mayabarakMemberHow do I build a child theme? (not very experienced with building/designing sites…) and how do I edit the footer.php in the child theme?
When I switch themes, can the whole site change and get messed up? I do not want to change too much as I am afraid I will not be able to get it back to normal…
ThanksSeptember 18, 2013 at 11:40 pm #14747SakinKeymaster@mayabarak: That is bit technical. See this http://wp.tutsplus.com/tutorials/theme-development/child-themes-basics-and-creating-child-themes-in-wordpress/ and http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes
If this is difficult then you can upgrade to pro version and use the simple Footer editor option in theme option panel and then edit it.
