Is there a way to make the featured image on a post linkable?

I have brought in posts to my static home page using this short-code (plugin Shortcodes Ultimate).
    [su_posts template=”templates/default-loop.php” id=”” posts_per_page=”5″ post_type=”post” taxonomy=”category” tax_term=”latest-news”]

You can view a test here: http://francodenicola.com/Home-test/

I have my posts set up for full content with read-more tags, and for the posts themselves on the POSTS page the image within the content does appear as it should.
However for this short code version of the posts the feature image is used. And I would like that image linkable just as the content image is on the posts page (http://francodenicola.com/updates/).

I expect there is a more sophisticated short code I could use, but I did at least get this experimental one to work to bring posts in via a certain category…and I’m hoping that if the feature image was linkable this would then work on the short-code posts.

@fireflywebs: By default, the featured image links to the relative post. Are you using some plugins for that? If its from the plugin, please contact the plugin support.

OK. The default (link to relative post) isn’t even working for the short-code generated posts. Sigh. I do have a ticket in with plug-in support.
    Thanks

@fireflywebs: By default, I mean the latest posts with theme alone without using any short-code. You may be using plugin for shortcode generated posts. Seems like an plugin issue, please contact the plugin support.
