    Hi, I would like to create event with future date (so i can see on left side the upcoming date). How can I do it? It’s using published date of the post, so it is impossible to set for future and see it.
    It seems to me like a bug/missed feature. I need to publish my plan of workshop trainings.

    @akagma: Login to your admin section.
    Go to Appearance => Customize=> Theme Options => Events
    Under Enable on :select either Homepage/FrontPage or entire site.
    Under Select Content Type: Select Custom
    Now you can insert any desired date for your events.
    Let me know if you have any more issues.
