Keymaster@marcellot: Sorry for the issue. There was an issue in the Catch Theme Demo Import Plugin. We have fixed the issues and released the new update. Please update to Catch Themes Demo Import Plugin version 3.1, and it should work fine.

ParticipantThank you for checking this so quickly. Unfortunately, the error remains the same even after updating the plugin:

ParticipantSuggestion:
Wouldn’t it perhaps be better to update the theme files on GitHub? The data might be out of date.June 14, 2026 at 8:40 am #343745Marcel Tujetsch
ParticipantUpdate
Interestingly, I tried out a few themes, and for all those where the demo data is hosted on GitHub, the import didn’t work. Then I installed “zubin”. The instructions for zubin include a direct link to the demo data. This data can be imported. However, a few minor errors are displayed:

ParticipantHi Sujeet,
Wouldn’t it make sense to re-export all the demo data from the currently active demo sites and then make it available for the demo importer?
Also, just like in some of the theme instructions, the download link for the demo data should be included directly in the instructions. You advertise that your themes come with demo data (which is a huge advantage), but then it should actually work.
ThanksJune 17, 2026 at 8:09 am #343812sujeet
KeymasterHello @marcellot,
Thank you for your feedback and suggestion.
We understand your concern, and we agree that having up-to-date demo data readily available is important for a smooth setup experience. We are currently reviewing the demo import process and will take your suggestion into consideration, including re-exporting the demo data from the active demo sites and making the download links more accessible within the documentation.
We appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts. Feedback like this helps us improve both our products and the overall user experience.
Thank you for your patience and support.

ParticipantAny news on the demo import? I should be able to show a mock-up next Wednesday.
Best regards from Switzerland

KeymasterHello @marcellot,
Have you updated the Catch Themes Import plugin to the latest version and tried importing the demo again?
Please let us know if you’re still experiencing the issue. We’ll be happy to assist further.
Thank you.

ParticipantHello
Sorry, I can no longer access the website; I’m getting a message saying that a serious error has occurred.
My other site, which runs on Catch Enterprise with the same provider, isn’t having any problems.
What should I do now?June 25, 2026 at 4:20 am #343958sujeet
KeymasterHello,
Sorry to hear that you’re experiencing this issue.
Could you please share a screenshot of the exact error message you’re seeing? If possible, also let us know whether you can still access the WordPress admin area.
To check whether this is caused by a plugin conflict, please temporarily deactivate all plugins and then reactivate them one by one to identify if a specific plugin is causing the error.
We’ll be happy to investigate further once we have this information.
Thank you.

ParticipantHello
Thank you for your prompt reply.
Below, I have copied the error message verbatim from the error message window. The error message comes directly from WordPress.
Regarding my question: Unfortunately, I can no longer access the WordPress admin area. The error message appears every time I click on a link. So, I’m unable to deactivate the plugins. What should I do now?
PS: It wouldn’t be a problem if I had to reinstall WordPress, as this is a test site. But I think it would be good to know which plugin is causing the error.
PS2: My hosting provider has a highly automated system; I’ve noticed that PHP version 8.1 has recently become unavailable (normally the PHP version is set automatically, but I’d explicitly set it to 8.1). The oldest version available at the moment is 8.2. Could this be related?Es gab einen kritischen Fehler auf dieser Website. Prüfe bitte den Posteingang deines Website-Administrators auf Anweisungen. KeymasterHello,
Since you are unable to access the WordPress admin area, we recommend reaching out to your web hosting provider. They should be able to review the server error logs and help identify the exact cause of the critical error.
They may be able to confirm whether the issue is caused by a PHP compatibility problem, a plugin conflict, or another server-side issue.
Thank you.

ParticipantTo avoid wasting too much time, I set up a new WordPress instance on my account with the provider. After installation, I immediately installed the ‘mag’ theme along with the associated plugins. The site is up and running.
I then installed the Demo Import plugin (latest version). The site is still up and running. I then selected the demo data for import. The import is still not working. I think the demo data is simply too old. Could you please regenerate it and send it to me directly? I’ll then run the test again.
PS: Perhaps I’ll hear back from the provider in the meantime regarding the serious error.Regards

KeymasterHi Marcel,
You can download the demo zip file from the Theme Instructions tab in theme page at https://catchthemes.com/themes/catch-mag-pro/#theme-instructions.
For your easy access:

ParticipantFirst of all, sorry—I wanted to test the Mag Theme first and installed the free version; I posted the error in the wrong place. P.S.: Even with the Pro version, there’s no download link in the instructions.
Second: As I mentioned in a separate post, I can no longer edit the website—a serious error appears when I try to log in. This is also happening with my client’s website, which I built using Catch-Enterprise Pro. What should I do now? -
