The instructions to Catch Everest (free version) says that I can upload custom image at Appearance > Background. However, in the Appearance menu there’s no option for Background. All I have in the Apperance menu are: Themes, Widgets, Menus, Theme Options, Headers, Editor.
So, I went to Theme Options and under Background, when I click to edit, I get the message that I don’t sufficient permission to change this.
How do I add my own Background image, please?
Thanks.
@jamespereira: Yes you can add the custom background from “Appearance => Background”. See this http://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/custom-backgrounds/
If you don’t have permission. Then fix your site permission. Ask your hosting server to fix it.
I have another website on the same shared server using another paid theme and I’m able to add custom background.
If I can do it for that website, shouldn’t I have permission automatically to also it do for this site I’m problem with.
Also as I said, when you go to Appearance, there’s no Background menu. Could the installation of the Catch Everest theme have something to do with this menu not appearing there?
Thanks.
@jamespereira: There should me. Did you try activating default theme like Twenty Twelve and check it. If you want then I can look at your site admin section. I will email you and you can send me details there.
@jamespereira: Thanks and I have send your screenshot. I am able to change background in your site.
