    Can you give me the directions for cropping the slider image. Have a look at this website and you will see I’m using the featured post slider. The photo on slider # 4 needs to be cropped so we see faces instead of legs. It happens if I used a different photo, it doesn’t show the face.

    @Terry M: Simple Catch Pro theme “Post Slider” uses the image size 976px width and 313px height. So, you need to upload the image with that size so that it doesn’t crop. You can also check this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oiov0L4blIw, you can just skip to 22 minutes.

    Next option is to use “Featured Image slider” where you can upload any image you want. It will not crop it.

    The video instructions look different than what I see. At 27:16 I click post thumbnail editor link but I don’t see any photos.

    Can you send instructions for using featured image slider. Also, when I upload my image 976×313 I get an error – Error saving media attachment. Do you know why.

    @Terry M: Look like WordPress upload error. Can you tell me which theme are you using it. To check if that is WordPress Setup or Theme Issue. You can change to default them and check in.

    To upload Featured Image Slider in “Simple Catch Pro”, follow the instruction as below.
    1. Click on Appearance => Theme Options => Featured Slider from your WordPress Dashboard
    2. Click on Slider Options, then click on Image Slider
    3. Click on Featured Image Slider Options
    4. Then upload the images, once the upload is complete, click on Insert Into Post
    5. Then add in the tile, content, link and target as needed
    6. Click on Save Changes button

    Hi,

    I’m also using the Featured Image Slider Option but would like to add content and have the photo to the left of the content instead of above the content.

    Is there a way to do this?

    btw, I’m having trouble finding where I’m supposed to create a new post

    @rgcoles: Can you send me your design so that I can check in if that is possible or not. You can create post from “Posts => Add New”.

    @rgcoles: I just need your design screenshot. Not the site XML file.

    @rgcoles: I check in the document you send me. It’s the same as your site. It doesn’t show what changes you want.

    @Sakin, I want to be able to take the text in the featured slider and put it to the right of the photograph instead of underneath it

    @rgcoles: Actually that is not there in theme. But can you try adding in the following CSS in “Appearance => Theme Options => Custom CSS” box.

    #slider-wrap .featured-img { float: left; }
    #slider-wrap .featured-text { float: right; }

    I keep getting an error when I upload my image 976Ă—313. I get an error – Error saving media attachment. Do you know why. Now I also get an error when I try to upload any image or PDF. Error says, ““entryIHAcontenders.pdf” has failed to upload due to an error
    The uploaded file could not be moved to wp-content/uploads/2013/09.”

    I’ve tried the regular browser upload and the multi file upload. Both get error.

    @Terry M: It’s your server folder permission issue. You need to set your upload folder file permission to 755. See this for more detail information on file permission at http://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_File_Permissions
