    As part of my attempt to optimize my website, I ran tests with GT Metrix (and others), and one thing noted was that there are a great deal of cookies on my site. When I checked, one of the culprits was my theme. Why does this theme require the use of cookies? Is information collected from my site and, if so, what is being done with it? Is there a way to remove the cookies without breaking the theme? Thank you.

    @michelled: Our theme doesn’t require cookies. WordPress uses cookie. Read more at https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Cookies

    For GT Metrix optimization, I recommend use of WP Rocket plugins and CDN. It’s really good.
