ParticipantHi I set my wordpress site up using the Catch Kathmandu free theme – I have now purchased the Pro version which I have added via the wordpress dashboard when I activate the new theme all my customisations are lost. Is there a way of switching to the Pro version without having to start from scratch?

Participant@bayimages: Upgrading automatically migrates all settings from free to Pro. It should have worked fine. If you are having issue, please use an appropriate plugin to export and import the customizer settings.

ParticipantHi with the use of the updater plugin I have managed to get most of it across ok.
However, I have the new theme set to full screen and I have the search and archive widgets displayed at the bottom of screen above the footer areas I have checked all the widget set up areas and neither items are shown (if I change to right-hand column they both appear there) – how can I remove these items?
My website is http://www.bayimages.co.uk
Thanks

Participant@bayimages: Just checked your site. You have set default layout to Right Sidebar so sidebar is displaying on the right with Search and Archive on the right side and content on the left. And on the inner pages, the layout is set to No Sidebar Full width so no sidebar on the inner page.
And about the Search and Archive widgets on the footer, I didn’t find this one. Only found a tags widget in the footer.
Let me know further if any problem.Regards,

ParticipantHi Mahesh
I have reset to no sidebar full width which puts the search and archive widgets at the bottom of the page – but my point is that when I look in the widgets area I can’t see that search or archive widgets have been added to any of the widget areas – I don’t want either of these items on display but without being able to find where they are located I can’t remove them – please advise.

Participant@bayimages: Now I got what you meant. The widgets on the sidebar you are getting is the default widgets. When no widgets is selected and layout set to right or left sidebar, these default widgets are displayed (issue you’re facing). If you want to have full width display, go to Dashboard=> Appearance=> Customize=> Theme Options=> Layout options and select No Sidebar, Full Width option in Sidebar Layout Options. Let me know if any problem.

ParticipantHi – I understand that they are default widgets, but when I have it set to No Sidebar, Full Width option in Sidebar Layout Options as you suggest they were still there.
I think I have found the problem now – my home page has custom fields which was set to side bar – when I delete the custom field the default widgets are removed.
