    Hi there

I think the default header height of 400px is too big. I’ve got a 1600 x 300 header I want to use.

What CSS do I need to add to use this? At the moment it’s cropping the end of my header.

    Thanks

@Richard: You can upload the header image of any size. Default is just a recommended size. You can just upload the image from “Appearance => Header” and upload the image, then you will get crop header image option. Just crop it as per you need and publish it. Thanks for the reply.

I did that. The image is 1600 x 300 and I select “skip cropping, publish as is”

If you look at “inspect element” on the header it shows

    img width=”1200″ height=”300″ alt=”” src=”http://www.educationalinteriors.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/banner300.jpg”

    Something is changing the width

@Richard: Yes sometimes, WordPress don’t crop and publish doesn’t work. You need to retry it or you can just select all area of the image and click on “Crop and Publish”.
