    In trying to update the footer in the theme I am struggling. I could not seem to get to change what I had previously added to the left-hand footer (with your theme name still on the right). I then added a footer widget which has now added a second footer strip in addition. I then removed the text from this but the strip is still there.

    How can I change the footer text on the left? http://www.dufour.org.uk

    Thanks

    @bobgarretthomenetworks-co-uk: Hello there,

    You can only edit the text Dufour Association in the footer left. For that you will need to edit the Site Title

    Go to => Appearance => Customize => Site Identity => Site Title => Edit the text and Publish.

    The Footer Editor Option is only available in the pro version of the theme. So if you would like to completely edit the footer text I suggest you to upgrade to pro. You can check out the additional-features available in the pro version of the theme.

    Let me know if this works out!

    Kind Regards,
    Skandha

    Thanks for the prompt reply but then how is the copyright year set, as that is what I want to update?

    I now realise that this footer was setup when we used another theme. So I assume Adventurous is picking this up from something stored in the database.

    Can you advise where that might be?

    @bobgarretthomenetworks-co-uk: Hello there,

    It shouldn’t be coming from a theme you used earlier. I have sent you an email. Can you please check your inbox and also let me know the PHP version you are using?

    Kind Regards,
    Skandha
