Hi, I have a couple of issues that I am needing help with. my URL is: http://www.20monthsonemillion.com

    The questions I have are:

I want the featured posts slider on the Home page, but I do not want it showing up on the Blog page. Is there a way to do this?
I would like for the menu bar buttons to be evenly spaced across the menu bar instead of all the empty space on the right of the menu bar. Is there code to fix this?

Thanks in advance for your help!

My slider just quit working. I’ve gone back and tried changing the featured pages. I’ve tried resaving. I’ve refreshed page. It it just frozen on the same slide. And it was working.

I am using the Featured Image slider option. I don’t fill in the title or summary. When you mouse over the featured image, you see “Featured image #” rather than any meaningful text.

Is there a way to control this? Basically, I don’t want any text below the image and so I am assuming that by keeping those fields empty, it defaults to this..

    Is this correct?

    Thanks.

Hello. My name is Christina and my site is http://bluemountainsconservancy.org/wordpress. The site is still under construction. I am very happy with the Catch Everest Theme in general.

I have added two posts to the site. They appear in the archives, and I have had no problem putting them into the featured post slider.

However, the posts do NOT appear in the “Blog” page that came with the theme. If you go to http://bluemountainsconservancy.org/wordpress/blog/ you will see I haven’t altered the default settings for that page. But my posts do not show up there.

Is there a problem with the code? What can I do to resolve this?

I appreciate your help. Thanks in advance.

    Christina

. I am trying to find a spot in the code for the mainpage to insert a simple table with 1 row and maybe like 3-6 columns to insert little sponsor images between the FEATURED CONTENT and the slider above.   Which template and where would I insert code to pull something like this off ?   I attached a image to show kinda what i mean.

Just need to know where in the editor I can injext a custom peice a code between slider and the featured content options.

@alexrams: For easy solution, just upgrade to Simple Catch Pro Version and then you have Featured Image Slider, which will let you choose any image and any link or without link, title and content are all optional.

My featured post slider never came up, Sakin. I attempted to post a picture using the ‘post’ number and just the pegboard showed up, but no pic. Please help. I’ll be happy to send you my url via private means. Thanks much.

@Conay: Look at your site http://newsite.conay.co.uk . The slider is working fine.

I want to add, for example, this post: http://newsite.conay.co.uk/?p=142

I’ve assumed that the Post ID is 142 (I hope so, because I can’t find any other number) and added it to the featured post slider – yet it fails to work.

@Conay: I think you are confused about Post ID. I guess that you are adding in the Page ID instead of Post ID. Page ID will not work in Featured Post Slider. If you want Featured Page Slider or Feature Image Slider then you need to upgrade to Pro version.

For your easy solution, follow the steps below:
    1. Just create new Post through “Posts => Add New” from your WordPress Dashboard.
    2. Then fill in the Post Title, Content and don’t forget to add in the featured image. See this http://en.support.wordpress.com/featured-images/#setting-a-featured-image
    3. Remember this post ID and go to “Appearance => Theme Options => Featured Post Slider”. Add in the post id.

If you follow this step then you will get your Featured Post running fine.

@eilpres: I just talked with my sales team and they have created account for your. Check your email and download it.

By the way then I check in your site http://206.130.117.218/~martinva/ . I found that you have not follow the step of adding featured image in the post. If if you are confused about how to add featured image see this http://en.support.wordpress.com/featured-images/#setting-a-featured-image

I am currently using Catch Everest and it’s the same for me. I have the correct id but not working. Somewhat distorted in Google Chrome but not showing up at all in Safari. I just purchased Catch Everest Pro but for some reason cannot download and install and waiting to hear back from support.

I checked the post ID’s and they are both correct.

@Conay: I don’t see you have added correct ID of the post. Check the post ID first and then just enter the right ID.

    Hi all,

On my prototype website (http://newsite.conay.co.uk), the featured post slider is not working despite setting it up to point to a post with a featured image. Any help?

Just to add here, the ‘preview’ slider worked when the theme was first set up.

    Thanks,

    Conor

@LandUnknown: Then it fine. Just create the slider with the featured posts and then add all other post in the category and show the category in the menu through Custom menu. “Appearance => Menu”

I use the slider to feature my top 3 posts on the homepage, but my philosophy is that any more than 3-5 posts are too much to “feature” there.  So, I’d like to have all my other posts appear on another page, where visitors may peruse a more exhaustive list if they would like.

@HHDesign: That is just a demo that why there is no link. In Catch Everest free theme there is only Featured Post Slider which is created to highlight your posts in Slider. So, it will link to the post.

But if you just want a image slider without any link then upgrade to Catch Everest Pro http://catchthemes.com/themes/catch-everest-pro there you have option to choose Featured Image Slider instead of Featured Post Slider.
