In reply to: Change text in slider and featured content
td8000
ParticipantHi Skandha,
in both, Slider an featured Content, there is text from the page that is linked to.
It’s the first words/sentences from this page.
I would like to remove this text and place some other text. And one more question:
How can i reduce the height of the grey background bar behind the page titles?
Thanks a lot. Tobi

ParticipantUnfortunately the update didn’t solve the problem.
My homepage is a static page and uses these sections:
– featured slider
– hero content
– portfolio
In total I have 17 h1 tag in homepage, which correspond to:
– n. 1 <h1> for the page title as it should be (this is fine)
– n. 5 <h1> for each slide title (these should be h2 tag)
– n. 1 <h1> for the title of the hero content (this should be an h2 tag)
– n. 9 <h1> for each portfolio title (these should be h2 tag)
– n. 1 <h1> for the menu title (this should not be in h1 or h2)The tags of the section should all be in h2, with the exception of the menu title that is repeated on all pages and would generate a duplicate <h2> tag.
As specified, I only use these sections on my homepage, but the problem also occurs with the others (for example header highlight content or logo slider).
Thank you for your precious collaboration

ParticipantOk thank you but the homepage/frontpage header cannot be disabled manually with the “excluding homepage/frontpage, Page/Post Featured Image” option enabled ?
So I want to get the slider in homepage and then the featured image header on other pages.March 29, 2020 at 11:23 am #240660In reply to: More than an h1 in homepage

ParticipantThank you!
There are some h1 tag in file like 404.php or page.php and they are ok, but I can find the h1 tag also in other files.
If that can help you, these are the files and the lines in which you can find the h1 tags (both opening and closing).

ParticipantYes @skandha I stated in my original question that there are conflicts in information on website and in theme.
1. image sizes in px listed on theme instructions state: Slider Image: Width: 1920 Height: 1080 and in theme 1040 is listed as image size. 1080 seems to be breaking something.
2. when you look at identity slider image on my site axumcreative.com the full image is shown and on the actual page axumcreative.com/identity the “featured image” is 596×447 and does NOT display full image of 764×1040. Why does slider image show bigger image than on page? How do I fix?

Matt
ParticipantHello there
I have managed to get the pause on hover working when I visit the site on Internet Explorer instead of Chrome.
The problem with pause on hover is that site visitors dont see the slider ‘slide’ because the mouse is always on the slider when you scroll down to it. If they didn’t know it scrolled, they wouldn’t know to move their cursor away from the slider to see the next image.
Would it be possible to have the featured slider without the pause on hover and add a pause button like the video header instead ?
Many thanks

ParticipantHello
I’m definitely running the updated theme (see below)
= 1.4.5 (Released: March 03, 2020) =
* Added: Pause on hover feature in Featured Slider (Requested by: @mattandwillow)The featured slider images do not pause on hover though.
I wonder if its because im not using posts or featured images, im using the ‘custom’ option within the featured slider customizer..
Hopefully you can manage to get it working for me.
Huge thanks
Matt

I have installed the update, the changelog shows the new updated theme version but there is no pause on hover option in the featured slider section.

ParticipantNo, I´d love to have photos in my post, but they become very big (or very small) if I use the recomended sizes above! If I want to use my post as “Featured Content” I don´t want a 350 px photo in the top of my post, I want a photo in ordinary size.
And if I´m planning to use my post in the slider, I still want a photo of ordinary size in the top of my post. Not a mega big photo.March 2, 2020 at 2:43 am #237763In reply to: Hard to understand the recommended image sizes

ParticipantThanks,
I dont have that CSS code installed right now but it removes the top SLIDER IMAGE –
the HERO CONTENT and the FEATURED CONTENT – h2 header titles.
What I’m trying to remove is the h2 PAGE TITLE that says “HOME” at the very bottom.
Home page is the “FRONT PAGE” in the homepage settings…February 25, 2020 at 11:57 pm #237309In reply to: Feature Slider… grey space

I checked your site and I see grey patch on the side of the images and not under the image.I suggest you to use the recommended images size on the slider.
