Blank empty space in widget sidebar

For unknown reasons, I’m seeing large blank empty spaces on my widget sidebar. What is causing this, and how can I fix it?

Look at the “search by topic” list in the right sidebar widget. There’s a lot of white space at the end of the list. (As viewed on an iPad)

If I could attach a screenshot, I would.

@debgoonan513: Hello there,
Those empty spaces seems to be google ads.

Go to => Appearance => Customize => Additional CSS and add the following CSS Code.
```
.google-auto-placed.pedestal_container {
    display: none;
}
```

Now the blank space is gone in the widget, but my background image appears well below the footer. Even if I turn off the background image, I see blank space below the footer on my iPad. Scroll down and see.

The white space or background image areas keep appearing, even though I have not changed CSS.

Can you try deactivating all your plugins and see if the blank occurs?
