@amcco1 : To change the hover text. Login to your WordPress admin section.
Insert the /wp-admin/customize.php structure at the end of your URL.
For example, the URL  : https://yourdomainname.com/wp-admin/customize.php. In your case, just replace the website’s name with the one you administrate.
Open the Additional CSS panel and add the following css.

.custom-cursor.team__active:before {
    content: "Your Text" !important;
}

Note : Replace the Your Text with your desired text.

@pssmike : Can you please try deactivating all plugins for testing purpose and upgrading to 6.2.
If the issues still persists after deactivating all plugins then you can confirm that the issues is caused by the theme. I have tested the theme with the latest version of WordPress and I don’t seem to find any issues at my end. Please follow the link below to know more about plugin conflicts with our themes.

Under Your homepage displays : Select A static page
Under HomePage : Select the desired page you want to display on HomePage and Under Posts Page Select a page where you would like to display your latest post.

@lieungh : You can edit the footer text from the customizer. Login to your WordPress admin section.
Go to Appearance => Customize => Theme Options => Footer Editor Options
Under Footer Content : Enter the desired text or remove the text as desired and click on Publish.
