If you want to have a custom homepage and not the latest post then you need to go to “Settings => Readings”, check “A static page (select below)” and select your page on the Homepage. Then you can edit this page using the editor.

@foto-hoki: WordPress core is soon adding Google font option. So, we haven’t added that to the theme. For now, you can install Gutenberg plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/gutenberg/ and add font, then you can change font family.

@w1ck: This is not the theme issue, looks like it’s a plugin or server settings. There must be an issue with the Cache and Optimization plugin. So, please check those settings like in the WP Optimize plugin.

@linktoheaven: I see that you are using a very old version of the Catch Kathmandu Pro theme. Version 4.9 was released on December 06, 2016, see the change log at https://catchthemes.com/themes/catch-kathmandu-pro/#changelog. Looks like your subscription for the theme update already expired and that is the reason you are not able to update the theme. If you purchase a pro theme, an update subscription is just for a year. Also, it might be due to easy username and password, please use the secure username and password. You can also use Security plugins. WP Forms for Scammer Protection is only for Form, so you might want to use a plugin like Jetpack Security, Securi, or Wordfence. Yes, the last few updates are only minimal and require fixes. This theme is already solid after a lot of fixes in the past.

Hello Gary,

Looks like on “Appearance => Customize => Theme Options => Hero Content”, you have Enabled Homepage and Selected the page “Homepage”. Then again in your Homepage setting on “Appearance => Customize => Homepage Settings”, you enabled “A static page” and selected the page “Homepage”.

So, in both Homepage Settings and Hero Content, you have selected Homepage and that is why it’s repeating. So, you need to either select different pages on these settings or you need to disable one of those sections “Hero Content” or “Homepage”.

If you want to disable the Static page on the homepage then you can go to “Appearance => Customize => Theme Options => Homepage / Frontpage Options” and disable “Recent Posts/Content on homepage”.

If you want to disable the Hero Content then you can go to “Appearance => Customize => Theme Options => Hero Content” and select “Disabled” on Enable on option.
