    Hello @pratik

I added another author to the blog, but in the loop of the index page, the only place that the name of the author shows up is the place I put the code by hand.
    http://www.wumanity.com
But that is ok, I fixed it with this manual editing.
Thank you very much for your attention!

    Yes, a blog, indeed.
That’s the problem. No author name in the excerpt, not even the date in this one (mine has the date). In this page you showed to me, there is only the featured image, title and excerpt. I meant to have the author name in the footer of the post/excerpt in this very page.
But I had to insert the tag to call it, as there were none.
It would be a good thing maybe to put in the customize options to decide what goes at the meta, and to put the option to decide in what pages the meta goes.
    🙂

Hello @pratik, your link was not working, I guess you missed an “S” at the word “themes” at the domain name.
I used this https://catchthemes.com/demo/gridalicious/ and it is not possible to identify the problem as the demo is an static front page and there’s no posts loop, only sections.
If in this template is choose the option of not a static front page, but the latest posts instead, the loop come and in the front page there’s no author name at the meta, only the date. But if we click the title of the post and go to the single post page, then only there we can see the author name at the meta, along with the date. It was like this before I install the child and before I edited the code to force calling the author name.

    Hello @pratik !
The parent theme was activated before and the author was not showing up in the front page loop posts, but now it’s too late for me to show you this, as, last ninght, I edited the parent theme page called content.php and put there the tag calling the name of the author, I found it at wordpress website, and put it along with the meta at the footer of the post. But, it was not showing up even at the parent theme, I guarantee you this.
    Thank you for your attention!
    Best regards
